But there's a problem with that.

What we are seeing today is something new. The club was never in this position in many many many years. So you can't really apply what happened in the past. When were Barca less powerful on the market than some 14th placed team in England? Don't remember such a case. Ever. I was used to a Barcelona that always had access and could sign the best players.

There's no precedent. So, the club should adjust to the new reality and build from that. There is no manager in the world that is gonna guarantee titles on low spending. Most will not even dare to attempt it because they will have better jobs to choose from.

Two things:
1- There was a time when Italian teams had similar pull in the market to EPL, a random club in Italy decided to compete and then spend big. It isn't that new.
2-Barca isn't competing with EPL football wise, we are competing in Liga.
In Europe, Xavi has played only 1 English team, so again we are competing with the likes Italuan league, Bundesliga, Portuguese clubs etc.
When you consider masa salary, which is the true spending power, then Barca is actually as powerful as most of the time in their history
If anything, our advantage over Liga clubs are even bigger.

So no, it isn't a precedent to expect a change of a long history within the club.
Again, Reality.

Nevermind, 4th place being in jeopardy isn't acceptable under any circumstances, we have 2nd best squad in Liga. Period.
4th or 5th place is a managerial failure no matter how you spin it

This Catalan mug had 0 issue criticising the likes of Tata for having 48% possession in a 3-0 win but is playing victim when we are one of the most boring and worst coached teams out of any top club.

Top coaches elevate average players this guy is literally making everyone regress.

Can’t be sacked soon enough

Also worth mentioning that both failed at a big team in their last job. Nagelsmann was sacked by Bayern, and Flick was publicly lynched by German media after turning Germany NT into a joke.

They are not world class managers. The only certified class managers around that you can be sure they will get everything right from the get go are Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp. Tried and tested and builders of great teams. With funds to back them of course. Proper funds, not spending at the level of Notthingham fucking Forest.

I'd be glad for the club to sack Xavi, hire some Michel or Alguacil like you say, and then go on playing great football and winning La Ligas and going far in CL with this squad. However, that is extremely unlikely to happen.

I admit that Xavi has been good, not great. He can be improved on, but only if the club manage to sign either a proven great manager, or discover the next great of the game. Chances of signing that are 1-3%. You'd basically need to discover the next Guardiola. Even Klopp was signed by Liverpool after he achieved glory with Dortmund (winning 2 back to back Bundesligas against Bayern and making a CL final fit that description). They didn't sign Klopp straight from Mainz.

Someone like De Zerbi didn't achieve anything extraordinary with Brighton. They were playing nice stuff with Potter too. Around on the same place in the league table too, 6-8th.
Naglesmann just didn't get on with the Bayern stars or board.
Flick did an unbelievable job with Bayern but found the German NT job much harder. I still think its a mystery why he took up a NT job so early.
If you look at Rijkaard he had a pretty mixed cv himself. Got Rotterdam relegated but did well with the Dutch team.
In the end he proved himself to be a great fit. We dont need Klopp or Pep we need someone who will be a good fit for the club.
It's too bad you don't have experienced managers like Hetnkes and Hiddinck around. Those guys can take over mid season and get the team to a higher level.

These stats insinuating that we should be scoring more goals than we are do not paint the full picture. They assume that all chances are equal, without taking into consideration the circumstances and angles in which they were created.

More specifically, if our patterns of play, tempo, and tactics favor a slow and predictable outcome, or if chances almost always originate from the wings, the probability of scoring from a shot on goal may be significantly lower than if we are playing unpredictable and fast football that favors chances from better angles and/or fewer opposition defenders around our attackers to prevent a goal from occurring.

It all falls back onto Xavi and his team of incompetent, nepotistic disciples.

With that said, we did play a bit better against Valencia, but that was also due to Valencia being really really bad.

we deserve so much better than this nepotistic horseshit.

Valencia could not create anything without crossing. Even so, they managed to score a goal due to a miscommunication in defense. This happens and it's ok.
But our attackers decided they can't score shit. Rafa, Ferran and Lewa all with golden chances. Add Gundo to that list.

Don't be fooled though, our game looked better because Valencia were trash and we still didn't win.

Xavi's selection of players to buy was really bad. Then without FDJ, who he wanted to get rid off, this team is below average. That's all you need to assess the manager. Add the bad displays, bad results and our position in the league and it's obvious we are going nowhere.

If anyone thinks we have a chance to progress in CL get your head checked. We are going to get battered whoever we face. It would take a miracle with our current form to win against any mid-table team over 2 games.

Lol you do know we made it to the K.0 stages of that CL right..

You're stated goal and objective for the season 🤣🤣🤣.

You should be asking for Xavi to renew for 75 years 😉.
Why exactly did we qualify for the CL?
A. Xavi’s wonderful tactics.
B. Luck of the draw.

75 years of Xavi’s haram ball? Why do you encourage such pain? 🤣👌

Doesn't matter how, just that we did..

The battle was won, just admit defeat and walk away...

You gave yourself the easiest L I've ever seen.

Tagging in people about K.O qualification lol.

thought you first said since gavi absence.
Same difference..

He was apparently suppose to make everything better once he came back.

That gavi - de jong, pivot would have been nice to have though, looked promising when they were both fit
