Yesterday was a lot like the 8-2 vs Bayern where we flat-out stunk and looked awful in terms of tactics that we didn't even have a chance.

Felt like we just said "Have it it!" and that was it.

He needs to buy more CBs and play them out of position, add to that more overpriced brazilian and spanish garbage combined with some Barca DNA and Barca might win another La Liga for the next 5 years.

Dude we struggle against Granada, antwerp and barbastro or do you think they have a better squad than barca?...

I think everyone can live with defeats against Real madrid if we would be really a lot weaker but when we lost 1-2 it looked well until Xavi brought the 35 years old Lewa into the match who will ofc dont do much in defence work, completely unneccessary sub and yesterday the high line was comical. These were Xavi's mistakes.
Even great coaches are making mistakes, Xavi is far away from them. I never said he is great. But he is getting good results (good for the players he has) and players are fighting for him, all the comebacks and later winners are the proof.

Dude you say good results because of 4 defeats this season but you dont see all the stupid draws against valencia, rayo, getafe, granada....

Also the playing style is crap, a lot of late winners while not dominating the matches

i ike xavi but he lost the dressing room, dont say the players have no fault but the output this season is not enough

Even if Xavi is sacked at the end of the season, he won a league title against La Liga and CL holders.

By any realistic metric, he did a good job.

The next guy has a tough job ahead to even replicate this achievements, let alone surpass them. It can be done, it's not a huge task, but it's pretty difficult.

Xavi did a good job stabilizing the club for his first 12-18 months, and that's it. League title the cherry on the top, but even Bernd Schuster won a league title with Real Madrid and did so by breaking or equalling the points record in La Liga back then.

He was still a mediocre manager.

Xavi is also a mediocre manager who is way out of his depth, however he did a good job stabilizing the team.

Yeah, i am sure Laporta was offering him Zubimendi, Rodri or Tchouameni, but he chose Romeu.

You dont have the first clue what you are talking about.

Xavi had a lot of input on who Barca signed and never pushed to cover Busi as thought he would stay longer.

Also Barca..on Xavis choice... still spent last season.. they are giving around same for Gundo, Inigo and Romeu as clubs do for 100 m player on 15m a year.

Yet after all that money.. all that planning the result is fucking Romeu and Xavi rating him highly enough to be signed.

Lunacy.

Besides, doubt the club can attract a top manager. The best to hope for is another manager to re-motivate the squad, maybe grab another league title, and leave in 2 years or so.

Taking a chance at someone from La Liga, maybe Michel from Girona, or someone like that is best I can see us doing atm. Or land someone that fucked it up big time at his last job, like Flick maybe, or soon ETH.

They wont attract a top proven coach with options.

The board and political situation Barca is not easy to deal with and wont get the money Xavi has without selling the better players.

Michel should stay and see season out really at Girona even if offered it.

Most likely Laporta gives another job for the boys to Marquez until end of season if Xavi were to leave.

The stupidity of giving Xavi and his brother a new conrract on bigger money will influence any decision also.

The next coach gets the same expecations.. probably with less money to spend and better Real particularly if Mbappe signs.

But thats the way it is and even if failed wouldnt mean much on decision to sack Xavi if came to that.

Sure. If it happens, Xavi is gonna get sacked for the level of the team this season. It's on him.

Next manager is gonna face the same expectations. Challenging for the title, and eventually winning some silverware.
