They were something like 5 points off 4th with a game in hand having fairly tough start without Pedri and Dembele.

Did decent to steady ship though not as miraculous as made out.

Ultimately his coaching hasnt been top level and he is paying for it.

Its good... but also had a epic failure in being grouped from CL then instantly being knocked out of EL... then losing 4-0 to Madrid in the Copa.
Those other competitions do count as well and in general he's been very poor in all cup competitions.
Overall his time here was decent given it ended quickly when it started to go downhill but not convinced we'd have won anything for many years if he continued.

Madrid matches are very small part of the season.

There are 36 games in La Liga season outside of El Clasico that Barca are favorites in.

Of course, if you make 93 points and Madrid make 95 and you lose the title, it happens, nobody is gonna blame the manager lol.

Barca won the league last season mainly because they were almost a 10/10 in consistency over the season. Only bad game vs a small team was vs Almeria, 0-1 loss late in the season.

Lost h2h vs Madrid, 1-3 loss and 2-1 at home. League was won by being ruthless vs smaller teams.

Barca won 2-1 to more or less secure title.. you want them to go for a third to share some mythical 'head to head' trophy?

It means that if you are ruthless vs smaller teams almost all the time, you tend to win the title. This is how league system functions. Most consistent team usually wins. Don't have to be better team than Madrid, just be better vs Sevillas, Almerias, Mallorcas etc.
