It means that if you are ruthless vs smaller teams almost all the time, you tend to win the title.

Yes and Barca had took more points v the top teams than Real did and beat them when it put league out of sight.

The head to head was 1 win each....

Your trying your 'were not better than Madrid' angle again...

Textbook.

Barca took 9 points off of Real/Atletico in league. They did fine v the better teams and more points than Real did.

Arteta is planning to leave Arsenal at the end of the season apparently.

Looks like there is indeed a lot of managerial talent available this off-season. We should make an evaluation on him.

Xavi has 2 league titles in his resume. Pirlo ended a 9 consecutive league runs for Juve.
Xavi is tiers above the likes of Lampard, Gerard & Pirlo whom fans want to compare him to.
There are dozens of tiers of bad, dozens of tiers for average, same for above average then good, great etc.
Pirlo is in the terrible territory, Xavi is in the average and close to the above average tiers.

He will get decent offers, just not Barca caliber.
Question is whether he will be interested, especially with his wife who was a driving force in his stay in Qatar (said she prefers to raise her kids there over Spain for example)

You must have meant the SuperCopa but I see your point.

Xavi wasn't/isn't bad to be honest.

I think inexperience with overconfidence done him. Overconfidence in the abilities of his manageriable and probably too much trust in his brother on the tactical and in-game reading side of things.

He also really struggles with taking ownership when things don't go his way. The press and fans were very lenient with the type of football we displayed. There should be some honest self reflection on how the entertainment factor that he promised to bring, after 24 months never came.

As said, put him in a lower pressure team with no necessity to play well, a modest regular transfer budget and he probably does decent. If we could have continued playing a containing game with a 4 man midfield and we would probably be doing better this season season too. But getting out of his managerial comfort zone and having to play attacking really led to the defensive system going haywire.

Our situation is not nearly as bad as is being made out though, but we are a fanbase and media that lives in extremes.

The only thing absolutely necessary is that we hire a high quality manager next to work with our existing group. Maybe a little inexperience will benefit too as managing Barcelona is like getting into the trenches, and it is something that if you are old, you may not have the will to fight in again.

Liga and Qatari league, which had bigger coaching names at the time than Liga atm bar Madrid sides. Unlike Pirlo who failed at every level and same with guys like Gerard

Olo @ Porque whitewashing Xavi. Hail marys from back unless 'tiki taka' within our own box which leads to Villareal interception and tap in. Midfield closed despite having one of best technical mids in world with FDJ, Gundo, panda. Endless failed blind crosses from Balde, endless failed 1v1 dribbles from donkey. Our first two goals yesterday were lucky ricocheted miscontrols by ragdoll and Gundo, our third goal an own goal. In Xavi's mind no one can play as well as he did so he doesn't trust them with dna and forces DOA gimpball. He doesn't even belong in a midtable Liga team.

Fatporta should've fired him soon as he wanted to sacrifice Puig in black magic fashion. We need to bring white magic back. Bring Michel.

Rewatching the second half as fuck all on tv.

Xavi was one unlucky cunt yesterday,

The team played really well in that second half bar the individual fuck ups.

Pedri and Lamine were real leaders on how much wanted to get on ball and make things happen and up the pace..Cancelo bar his fuck up makes a big difference when have players that want ball and has a bit of swagger he does.

There is a LOT for next coach to work with.

Just got to 3-3.. that was on Araujo that break far more than Pedri/FDJ.. he fucking lets Sorloth drop deep to get ball and stays 10 yds off him then rather than close down he fucking takes of running towards the goals... terrible defending. Amateur level.

The defensive line on that goal was horrendous. The two CBs are marking two attackers and both full backs are 30 yds further up.. they left Cubarsi with Guedes.

There has to be three defenders back there v the two attackers when leading.

Gundo defending to let the man turn was weak to start it all off. Needs to at least foul there if cant slow him down.

We will see an instant improvement once MATS comes back. Pena been truly horrible in the past games.
Having a bad defense is unworkable with him in goal, most shots are goals.
