That's a very polite way of saying "parking the bus."

Defending deep and cutting off passing lanes instead of pressing isn't parking the bus, it's just one way of defending. One that makes Xavi much less effective.

Milan can't/won't park the bus ala Inter, because Inter were hanging onto a lead which Milan don't have.

Perhaps controversial but I don't think we'd miss Xavi that much. We have lots of good passers, and Milan will probably concentrate on defending space and cutting off the passes - something Xavi can't do much about. Iniesta and other players who can beat their man are more important imo.

Yeah, Xavi's ability to circulate the ball and help Barca transition from defense to attack isn't so important since Milan will be defending deep and gifting Barca most of the possession. In fact it can be a disadvantage since it can create a defense against attack pattern. Having someone like Cesc instead will probably mean more Milan possession, but that can be a good thing in terms of increasing our chances to score.

It seems like he's not 100% so it won't be wise to start him in a match of this caliber, Thiago/Cesc will feature. Thiago was exceptional last time he played against Milan.
