confirming what we've been saying for a while, there are a handfull of forward passes at best and they're outside the box. Most are sideways or to the back.
Nice armchair analysis as usual but when he has essentially 3 other attacking midfielders in the form of Iniesta, Cesc and Messi infront of him, logic dictates that Xavi must have a different role and can't occupy the same spaces and make the same passes. Needless to say that the pass of the game that created a legit goal came from Xavi. Not Iniesta, not Cesc, not Messi.

That legit pass would of been made by Cesc or Iniesta had they been playing in that position all game. The demise of Barca and Spain are both due to Xavi's offensive decline. That's clear as mud to me watching Bayern, Real romp our midfield late last season and Brazil overrun Spain in Confed Cup final. I just hope this is the last year we have Xavi starting every single big game over Cesc and Iniesta in that position.
Xavi as coach is bad imo. Good leader and he would have great trash talk in press conferences but he is too stuck to la masia prnciples and not tactically flexible
