xavi hasn't defended well for ages mostly now. he commits, diego easily dodges enough to get a run and shot even and rips it pinto caught off the angle.

disaster.

People are fooled by his completed passes.

He never attempts a through ball anymore and on defense he offers us NOTHING. Its not his fault. He's just old now.

But it seems that even some on this board don't want to let go of Xavi and move on.

Not every midfielder has to attempt through balls. I still can't see the team doing so well without Xavi in such tight games like last night or the one at Cornella on the weekend. He brings calmness to the team and his presence is still so important.

Yeah, we should let go of Xavi and move on. Where exactly? He's all we got, and it's all we can hope for that next season we are able to get someone to take over from him smoothly.

Still, played well against City and Real, and is doing better than last season.
