Nobody expects him to win anything this season. Most realistic fans have given this season for dead. So at least he gets to use these 6 months to really feel the team and make the adjustments so we can approach the next season with what should be our main objective: win La Liga, playing nice football, and competing for CL.

Exactly. We will give him a chance for next season.

I don't think everybody thinks we'll now win the treble because Xavi will come. There is a slight chance we might still win La Liga, but I see Madrid as the strongest they've been in the league since their great 2016-2017 season.

Wrong. You are talking from your own expectations mate.
Xavi has been hyped over a decade as next Pep. Team expectations are still high.
Realistic fans are the rarest, and surely Camp Nou fans has proven to be of different type than internet forums. And through years we have known who matters for the board.
Never mind, things can go really south with him now. He has a team that is far from his ideas. Him finishing far behind RM or getting out of Napoli could end his career before it starts.
I really don't think Barto will have patience if he doesn't feel Xavi is the man (and Barto isn't the brightest football mind) with next season being the ëlection year".

You're a positive dude as far as I know. Let's be optimistic. I've always said managing Barcelona is not easy and you need to have some serious skills, in order to make the team be what fans want it to be. Nobody really knows anything about Xavi the manager. All we know is that he was a player with a huge tactical influence, and based on his interviews, his understanding of possession football (what is perceived to be our style) is probably the highest next to Pep's.

So, there are many great signs, and there are a few worrying ones too. It's up to Xavi to show us more his qualities, than his flaws. Because everybody has flaws, including Pep.

With Griezmann, Frenkie and Dembele we have three exceptional players whose potential are basically untapped on. Alba isn't as bad as he is playing and can certainly be big player again with proper management. With a more organinized midfield, Sergio could be a somewhat dignified starter again. Fati would actually have a coach who knows how to form talents.

The whole team would get a morale boost. The synergy between players would make everyone seem a level better then they are. With Xavi we might even have a shot in Champions Leauge.

Xavi for treble!

Klopp doesn't have a flaw tho. Pep has flaws in defence, what would Klopp flaw be?

He’s only just turned Liverpool into the title winning team they are, before he lost EFL Cup Final, Europa League Final, Champions League Final.

Dont consider it a flaw or failures to lose a finale when they in the first place only are playing it because of his tremendous work.

Not taking anything away from what he’s done with Liverpool, but losing 3 Finals in a couple of years is an obvious flaw imo. He got them there but couldn’t win when it mattered most. Now he’s turned things around and they are a winning team, respect to him for that.

The flaw would mean he can't create winning teams, but he in fact did so with Dortmund winning 2 Bundesliga titles which also where as impressive as his LFC campaign.

No manager is perfect as perfection doesn't excist, but unlike Pep I don't consider Klopp do have any obvious flaws. Pep flaws are obvious tho 1) defence 2) champions leauge 3) too idealistic.

If he accepts the position nobody should expect trophies this season. Valverde has destroyed this team both mentally and physically and nobody can undo it overnight, he needs time. That's why we needed to tell Ernie to fuck off after Liverpool last year and appoint a coach that has the whole off season to train some intensity into this team. Ideally we should've done it after Roma, this way we just allowed the unchraismatic, mediocre git to ruin our team for 2 more seasons. Anyway, to turn back to my point, this season he should only be expected to get back some modicum of our usual style into this team, develop some patterns of play, teach these guys what it means to move off the ball, maybe use the likes Todibo, Puig a bit more (too bad we loaned out Alena) and just asses the squad for the summer clearing. Just hope he has the balls to go against his ex mates and put them in their place, eventually even ship out some of them if he considers it necessary.

So he doesn't want to deal with Ernie's mess until the summer. I can understand that. Brace yourselves for another CL debacle guys .
