The poor squad planning is on on Xavi.

He has been given a major say in transfers and spent money equivilant to 300m odd worth of players.

Needed a RB and a DM last summer as well as younger more mobile CF and a more like for like Dembele replacement.

They had at club a man in Planes who helped bring in Pedri and Araujo... yet they just ignored him and had arrogance to think Xavi and Cruyff knew better.. with what track record?

Qualifications being one is ex Barca legend and other has the correct surname. Nothing at all in terms of squad planning at Barca level.

Who does he discuss targets with? His brother? Another qualified guy...

Weren't Lewy and Raphinha Laporta signings?

We'll look better once Dembouz is back, plus Messi's vision next season will be enough for unlocking LL defenses.

I don't blame Xavi that much. Imo it's poor depth due to terrible squad planning and lack of quality in the final third without Dembele. Xavi also showed himself to be a pretty inflexible coach but it's not like he has the right players for his setup outside the Gala 11.

I would only sack him next season if we fail to win LL and get knocked out of CL early again.
Then whoever is responsible for signing Ferran 60m, Raphinha 60m, Lewa 50m on huge wages for 4 years... they have to go, no?

If the reason we are scrapping out wins every game is that then heads should roll if players been signed for that much and on good wages too to be considered not to make a difference.

I think he needs to continue in the next season at least, just because he did win the league and a big project/investment has been made on his urging, so, he deserves the third season to see the culmination of his project and if he can build on the league win.

Nagelsmann by looks of it will be available for a while.

I wouldn't give him another year.
Signs are here already.
We are winning a league because we have been lucky (plus Stegen and poor finishers) to concede 15 or more less goals than what we should have.

Serious clubs don't decide only based on trophies, but on what we see of the team of the pitch.

Plenty promising managers out there that suit us. Nagelsman and De Zerbi should be top of the list.
Arteta in 2-3 years time.

Messi's vision won't be enough when his legs will be 36yrs of age
Plus the way he will diminish our only strength this season: off the ball pressing.

Huge questionmarks also about how Messi will deprive our most dangerous player, dembele, time with the ball on his feet.

Xavi is to blame for this squad planning. All the transfers was his decision together with Jordi, and now the geriatric summer of Messi Gundofan and Inigo is all all his responsibility

The only transfers that were clubs' were Kessie and Christensen (Allemany's choices), and TBH they worked wonderfully (even Kessie who was bought as depth, not starter)

📺 Barça TV will disappear from 30 June. The club communicated their decision of not renewing the agreement with Movistar for the broadcasting services.

📺 This decision will mean the departure of around 150 professionals from the club, between contracted and collaborators.

A simple question... Is he taking the piss with those post match statements?

He either is is completely disconnected from reality.

Have to admit, he kinda sucks. Was more charitable even few months ago, but even with not world class squad should do better tactically. He seems to be one trick pony and when that one trick doesn't work, pony chokes. No tactical vision and brain to make adjustments whatsoever. I for one, absolutely don't think this Barca squad is great, not even any good, but good coach would make amendments, when see shit doesn't work. Xavi doesn't and just hopes for the best.

He won't get dismissed if wins the league but talks of renewing him are way too premature.

Clubs needs to analyse other coaches who might become available before being too committed with Xavi just in case the same issues persist.

Would it be fair if he's dismissed after winning the league? Not at all, but if he stays for another year and we keep trending in the wrong direction and all the good options on the market are gone then what?

It's not often quality managers or potentially quality managers are available.

At the very least take the keys away from him and get a proper SD in and not a puppet like Jordi Cruyff. Xavi should not be the one leading the project per se. He need to learn to trust and work under a SD.

We scored 2 goals in the last 4 games, and one of them came in the 83rd minute of the match... It's infuriating to know that we spent so much money after selling our asses off and yet we got ourselves a bunch of average blokes(for the most part). I'm not sure how much Xavi had to say in all of this but it's not looking good. But to be fair, these were the only players we could've got at that moment... This league is starting to feel bittersweet if we'll win it. By the looks of it, we're looking at another Champions League group stage humiliation. I'm not feeling too confident about it.

I think we match the level of our players sort of. We don't have a single player who can do something individually great on a reliable basis and so naturally some games of the season are going to end up like this.

What do you expect from these players honestly? We have some interesting talent no doubt but they all have that flaw that prevents them from being world class.

Raphinha has the hallmarks of a good winger but he doesn't cut through defenses.

Pedri is elegant and technically brilliant but he hasn't got much forward drive in him.

Ansu is very talented but physically is unfit for professional football.

Lewa was WC but is getting old.

Realistiaclly we could have avoided conceding and churned home another 1-0 but sometimes shit happens and when it does, we just don't have the quality to bail us out of these situations.
Yes, we don't have the best squad in Europe but it's good enough to be top 10. At the moment we are nowhere near that. No proper structure and unable to adapt in a match.

Xavi always blames external factors. Always. He was delusional as a player so why did people expect him to be different as a manager?

Damn. We really are broke. Even shitty clubs like Wolves have their own channel.
Love how these clowns can spend over 120 million on Ferret and Raphinia but get rid of hard working staff who actually do their job.
