yaya's brilliant but I still fear playing him central is a mistake when we come up against an attack that has blistering pace. i.e. man utd.

I agree.United are very dangerous on the counter and he might get caught out while going forward.

While he did fantastic against Bilbao and ok against Chelsea i would still prefer him in his DM position and let Cáceres get a run out to see how he does in the upcomming games before the Champions League Final. Precisely. I think Pep didn't want to take any risks because he knew we needed this first piece of silverware. It would have been too risky to just put Cáceres, but now there might be a few matches for us where we will be able to test him in that CB position. And then if he passes the test he might be selected to play for the CL final, with Yaya and midfield. But Pep has avoided selecting Martin on so many occasions so we can't really know.

Indeed, over the next two games we'l be able to guess how the back four will line up upon whether Cáceres gets tested or not. No Cáceres means Yaya is very likely to start as a CB. If we do see him then it'l likely depend on his performance before the Champions League Final, and even then he might not feature. We'l need to wait and see what Pep decides.

Today there was a small article in 'Het Nieuwsblad' a Flemish newspaper.

Yaya started his European carreer in Belgium, so in a way he's interesting for belgium media...

The article tells how Yaya has changed personally since being in Barca. Earlier on he was very shy, whilst now he's more selfassured.

And then two question talking about Barca:
How is the relationship with superstars like Xavi, Iniesta, Messi,..?

Yaya: Very well. can't be different because we played almost 60 games and only lost 4. So there is not much reason to not get along. And don't make a mistake: Iniesta and Messi are regular persons, not superstars. They hardly say anything [in the dressing room]. Eto'o is something special, but i understand him. We are an excellent team. My best friends are Puyol and Xavi.

What makes you so indispenable?
Because i give my completly every game. I cannot do what Messi does, i can't score like Eto'o. I can't direct the game like Xavi. But i close down all gaps. I've played like a defender en i can without a problem.

While i did think that he was shaky at times against Chelsea and had my concerns over Busquets taking his DM role in order to bring Yaya as CB, he was phenomenal last night. Love Yaya, he's out of this world!
