Yaya Toure

Because Yaya and Keita have the ANC in the new year and we're light oin midfield to begin with.

So, we get an expensive signing to cover for the ACN period which wont last more than a month(10 January - 31 January). Besides, what we need is a CM not a DM. We 've Biscuits, Marquez & Oriol Romeu, a promising DM from Barca Athletic, who can be called-up during emergencies...What is the need of Redcardsherano?

Coming back to Yaya..

Its all more a case of Rijkaard's signings out, Pep's signings in. Excluding the La masia players...the only 1's that are left are Abidal and Toure & it's only a matter of time before they are shown the door. Pep & his favouritism.
Yaya is so under-rated considering his contribution, he should 've been one of the first names on the team-sheet. Under any other manager, he'd be more valued. It was Yaya who bailed us out towards the end of last season by playing out of position & delivering in the biggest of games not Pep's favs Keita & Biscuits, the former who was not willing to accept a diff role in the CL finals... The best thing about the Ivorian is he doesn't complain about it & is willing to sacrifice & play for the team. He was also one of our best players in Pre-season. But, he then gets benched for Pep's favs. U could say Keita-Yaya doesn't work, why didn't Pep try a Yaya-Busi pairing in Midfield? Some would say Keita was on song. Hence, couldn't be benched. I reckon, if Yaya was played consistently, he'd be just as good coz since his time with us Yaya has done brilliantly when he has been played consistenly. A player regardless of his talents & ability suffers with his form & confidence seeing ur manager favouring a lesser player over you after all ur contribution in recent success. And, Yaya's mins 've primarily come from CL & we know CL games aren't played every week. U can't expect to bench a player & then expect him to do wonders when he takes the field twice a month.
Now, coming to Pep's obsession with the overrated ugly midget. He is not even half the player Yaya is. He is only good at one thing i.e breaking up play. I dont know how that is sufficient to play for a team like Barcelona. All our players regardless of their positions need to 've good vision, awareness, passing, good going forward, skillful & technical. Someone who can play 'Total Football'. Redcardsherano doesn't fit our scheme of things.
He also neither has good aerial ability nor towering presence like Yaya which is important for our midfield...He has had one good season & has been very average since 2008. If it wasn't for the spanish waiter, he would 've still been warming the bench at a mid-table club. Such an ungrateful bastard, now that Liverpool are in the shits, his wife needs sunny weather etc..he wants to come here. :bash:
Now, have a look at this
Alves----------------
-------Mascherano--------
------Xavi------Iniesta/Cesc----
Messi------------------Robinwho/Iniesta

Basically, a team of midgets and i dont know how we'll cope against the physical sides & defend set-pieces.

I just wish Pep stops having these 'feelings' & being biased 'coz losing the best DM out there 'll only be detrimental to our team. Hope that overrated shit remains where he is...we cant lose the best for a lesser player.

Yaya=DeRossi>>>Essien>Hargreaves>M.Diarra>Senna>Cambiasso>Toulalan>Melo>L.Diarra>Frings>D.Albelda>Flamini>>>>Redcardscherano
Oh! if i've missed some good DM's add them before the overrated Argentine.

If Yaya left I think I would be close to suicide. I think he may be one of the most underrated players in the world. Many rate him but in my opinion he is the best DM in the world but also so much more.

+1.

I must admit that I probably won't do a suicide (I hope you won't too, although Yaya leaving is really a GOOD reason for everyone to do it), but I'll be in depression for at least a year. That's something I wouldn't be able to get over for a while :D

I need a nickchange if Yaya leaves. 00

Plus Zanela love, what has happened to you in the past month? From sweety pie to "every-post-is-a-rant" pie. :(

Don't ask me, ask Pep and Txiki.

I walk the line
Toure was playing deeper than usual. Pep was obviously trying something new...

When i sat in my seat i was trying to figure out who our 3rd midfielder was cause i could only see busquets and keita..then after a minute i saw yayá in between piqué and chygy. He was definitely playing deep at times.

that's certainly pep's latest strategy. split the CB's, drop the DM back and drive the FB's up the pitch.

yaya's awesome but his agent is a monstrous cockmonger. he did the exact same thing at this time last season. my guess is he'll do the exact same thing this time next season.

so I doubt we'll see yaya at the camp nou in 10/11. busquets is always improving and pep really likes mascherano's dogged approach (and he is totally awesome, my dear zanela is mistaken).

my guess is he'll go to city where his twattastic agent can pilfer all the money and contract renewals he wants.

cunt.

Masch is pretty good in winning balls on ground, but aerial balls? Not much!! Best example would be yesterday's 2nd goal that Pool conceded, it was only Masch's ineffectiveness that cost them that goal and nothing else... Yaya would have definitely stopped that IMO, however awesome Masch might be, Yaya is miles ahead of him!!

Only De Jong is an out and out DM. Anyway Yaya has said he's looking at other clubs, but not City.

because he can win balls in the air?

don't get me wrong, with pep's idea of splitting the CB's aerial ability is important but yaya's not as good a DM as badger. he's a much better all-around player but when it comes to stopping opponents there's only one guy better than mascherano and it ain't yaya.

We don't need a player with an agent who wants to dictate the team's lineup etc. Yaya needs to get his agent to shut up or be shown the door, as good as the Ivorian is he ain't irreplaceable.

Everytime i've watched him, he hasn't impressed me. Keeps fouling, acts like a twat, has no clue going forward, no good in the air, no skills...Certainly not one who deserves to play for us...All our players are versatile(can play more than one position) highly technical & skilled players. Redcardsherano isn't one.
And, if he did come to us, i'm certain he never be as succesful as Yaya was for us...He 'll get benched for Busquets after Pep realises his mistake.

I'm kinda resigned to losing him. And, i hope when he leaves, he goes to a championship winning side. He deserves to play for a big club NOT a 'wannabe big club'

erm good post, but putting DeRossi there basicly negates your entire rant.
