Yaya Toure

Troublesome, I suppose, that Yaya's agent has come out with this...Does make me wonder whether Yaya actually does want to be here as this is 2 seasons running now where his agent has been making headlines and unsettling the club.

Would be a damn shame if he were to be sold...I realize no one is irreplaceable but Yaya is in a class by himself, atm...He hasn't even scratched the surface, IMHO, of the player he can still become.

Wonder if this remains a wages issue more than anything else...I mean, let's face it - when we count off the most vital players in the XI, Yaya can't be far down the list

I really really hope this is all agent talk. I would hate to lose Yaya. He was immense in the closing stages of last season. He can only get better as well.

I have been surprised by how little game time he has seen, but perhaps he is just being spared for the difficult few weeks ahead with some big league and CL games approaching.

I think it has to be part of the rotation policy of Pep to give his key players rest...Although, with the ACN coming up, it does seem logical to get as much out of him now...But in every key match, Yaya has been there...Soo :icon_confused:

Yeah, but it seems that some key players are getting more rotated than other key players, don't they.

Dont think its anything against yaya its just Pep decided that Keita is the Malian Redondo and he must play every single minute.

I'm sure Yaya would have played more minutes if he didn't end up making Keita look like the Malian Rochemback whenever he plays alongside him.

So, its all Yaya's fault not the malian's?

Nope, Adam's not saying that.
But.
Think about it this way.
Keita plays awesome. :pep: loves him.
Yaya plays, alongside Keita. Keita plays rubbish.
Keita plays awesome, :pep: continues to love him

Pep's mind works hard for a few mins.
He makes this face - :pep:
"Ah! I see! How about I don't play Yaya for the sake of keeping my darling Seydou from playing bad."

Maybe it wasn't Yaya's fault. Maybe it was a coincidence that Keita had off days when Yaya was playing. It probably isn't solely Yaya's fault. But to a coach it doesn't matter, and therefore he will avoid playing Yaya and prefer Keita instead.

Nobody therefore says it's Yaya's fault. Pep's just not going to take risks.

thats a good way of putting it.

My biggest Beef with pep (no pun intended supreme) is that we didnt see enough of Busi/yaya, because really that was awesome last season.

Keita is in a groove, there's no denying that...Which would explain his minutes.

I think Pep will have to make some decisions soon about rotations now that Iniesta is essentially 100%...Does he rest Yaya or Keita in order to play Iniesta & Xavi?...I think it'll depend on the opponent and their style of play.

When Pep wants a more direct player, he'll go with Keita for the time being whereas Yaya is the player of choice under all other circumstances.

Makes me wonder if Yaya won't be paired with Pique at times to relieve Puyol, especially in CL

I do hope Pep or Laporta or someone comes out to squash this nonsense from Yaya's agent

My problem with that is that no player, IMHO, has looked worse this season (Perhaps with the exception of Rafa) than the Biscuit...He's just been very poor

 But yeah I agree, I just don't think Pep is too big a fan of Yaya in the first place, and while i have nothing against Keita we could do with a bit of variety, like last season.

Gnegneri

immaculately conceived
Busquets has played one game very very off but also performed strongly in other games.

There isn't really a case against the whole Keita thing. Beef Supreme said it well and if you see Keita's goals + work, you cannot say it is a bad choice or it didn't work out. Not me at least.

I think Busi has not been that poor! It's just his confidence issues, he now has a lot going on in his mind I suppose... He has to earn as many minutes as possible at Barca to have a realistic chance of playing World Cup, also he has to prove himself as good as Xabi Alonso if not more!! That's why all his mistakes have happened like when he tried to do a bit too much, not because because of him being poor... Busi is good as long as he keeps it simple at least until he gains some more experience, he'd better keep that in his mind

I wonder why he has to try and impress Guardiola when it was him who brought him into the first team first off and played him in the CL Final of all!!
