Toure was always a saint in my eyes, and a damn well better option than Busquets. When he was getting regular playing time, he was able to start @ CB for us in games that he had no business to be doing that. I would really like what it was that happened between Toure and Pep that went from Pep having such absolute faith in him to him being sold to City.
well you don't need to wonder, it's obvious to see.
watch the first half of the season, and watch his stagnant lifeless play stink up our midfield. conversely watch busquets, who made things happen. good and bad, yes, but he was dynamic, he hustled (where do you think the "are you not entertained?!" thing started?) - both got a very similar amount of minutes, busquets just edging ahead due to yaya being ill for a week, and only busquets did anything with them. in the second half of the season, with the CAN and yet more poor form, yaya lost his place to busquets on a more regular basis. deservedly so.
there are two people to blame for this situation, and that's yaya and his agent.
you yayaistas...
team above players.
