Could be. Arthur should be brought in the summer for sure, and the more I see Coutinho, the more I think we should play with Coutinho - Messi - Griezmann front three. Alena - Busi - Arthur behind them.

Need fresh legs in that midfield ASAP.

That front trio and midfield with a competent coach (i.e. Sarri) would be stupendous. Would still consider Rakitic over Alena in midfield, though. By alot.

There is no way Barca will start with that midfield next season.

Messi at false nine I think would be too one dimensional. He will drop to get on ball. Everyone will pass to him. It will be slower and always on the boot of Messi.

I felt sorry for him out there. You could see he knew he'd made a few costly mistakes and had the weight of the world on his shoulders.

He did well in certain aspects, he's very fast and agile running forward but his turning circle is beyond slow and ponderous.

In possession his game is extremely volatile; he can look accomplished and skillful or a complete liability on the ball.

I hope he does well on loan, Valverde will not keep him here next season. He'll keep an eye on him for afar.

We could absolutely work on him tactically, but the issue is his shape/ body. He will not suit us, but I feel it is a bit too early to sell him. A two year-loan is the what we should do.

Fair play to God Serena who called him out since day 1

God Serena was right about Mina from the day1

Yep he was right 100%

But of course. Those who denied it and argued with me were sitting in a room that was on fire, but instead of saying "This is fine", they were saying "What fire"?

Let's just look at all the warning signs that this is the quality of player we signed, and the excuses made to wave them away.

1.) Rumors come out that Valverde doesn't count on Mina. Just rumors though, he's still the best CB from Brazil and plays for Colombia, so he'll be great for us, surely.
2.) Mina doesn't play a single minute for the first month. But that's okay, we have so many world class CBs that are just stopping him from playing. Plus, he has to adapt. Totally.
3.) Pique gets injured but plays anyways while Mina sits on the bench. Valverde is such an idiot, why did we even buy Mina? (My personal favorite)
4.) Mina plays and has a total shocker. First game, can't judge, he actually did well (Lol), you're a hater, he needs more minutes, etc. We've all heard the excuses for this one before.
5.) Mina once again doesn't play for an extended period of time. See #3. Plug ears when #4 is mentioned.
6.) Mina plays again and once again does poorly. See #4.
7.) Mina doesn't feature again for a semi-extended period. See #3, plug ears when #4 or #6 are mentioned.

I'm far beyond saying "I told you so" to so many people who lashed out at me for even suggesting he might not be as great as he's chalked up to be, but let's take a look at everything we sacrificed for the sake of our unbeaten season.

-We exhausted the squad with a lack of rotations
-We completely and utterly ignored Barca B and the development of our potential future stars
-We crashed and burned out of the CL in humiliating fashion
-We spent more time defending single goal leads and fighting from behind than trying to play beautiful football and score lots of goals
-We accepted mediocrity on an almost weekly basis

And now all of that is for nothing because Valverde lost his mind and decided to start this overrated trash from Brazil in an away game. This is supposed to be the exact type of game Mina is "Good enough for" as has been said hundreds of times in this thread, yet he put in a performance that even Bartra on his worst night would never have recorded.

We need to get 2 CBs if we loan him. Vermaelen is close to non-existent in the squad since he spends most of the season recovering from injuries.

Getting rid of Marlon was so stupid. I can't even count how many bad decisions our board made past 2,3 years.

If we had Marlon, maybe we don't lose today and we finish unbeaten. Sure Marlon didn't look like Maldini, but at least he looked solid and could pass the ball. Yerry learning how to play in Europe is 2 steps backwards from Marlon.

Loaning out Marlon was the right thing too, if he was on the squad how often do you think Valverde would've played him? It would be the same talks like with Mina and others probably.

Mina looked really bad yesterday, should be loaned for 1 or even 2 years tbh. The non-EU thing is really a problem and it's the same for Marlon, we can't have players that are only on the bench if they even make the match squad as 1 of 3 Non-EU players. The 3 next season will be Paulinho, Coutinho and then Arthur.

Positioning - bad
On the ball - decent
Tackling - good
Speed - mediocre
Strenght - great

Can be a good back-up CB. No more.

No he really can’t be a good backup. If he can handle Levante than he for sure isn’t good enough to be a Barca player, not even a sub. No way!

He's worse than Chygrynskiy. One of many truly average players in the squad right now. Major overhaul needed in the summer. Spunking all the budget on Griezmann is asking for trouble.

I suppose our board is well aware they made a mistake with Mina since they are following Lenglet for some time now. If we renew Umtiti and buy Lenglet we would be well covered. (Pique, Umtiti, Lenglet, Vermaelen). Vermaelen can for sure cover 4th spot for one more year.

My problem with him is that he gets out of his position too easy and too often,he is not quick player,he should stick to his position
I won't write him off,he could become useful squad player once he develops more chemistry with players on the pitch. Even though he was rubbish,i hope we won't judge him only for this game

So here we have south american player who was bossing the legaue there, then came in europe and looks completely lost, ok, he didnt play often, but his skills are average

Reason why you dont really believe player will be good transfer just because he is good in south america, could be the case with arthur also

For 12M I'd take that.

He had a bad game but so did majority of the team around him. I still believe he's better than what he showed yesterday and wouldn't give up on him after just 3 games.
