I think he's been dumped out the champions league by Barcelona every year, since he left Barcelona

Need your leaders to show up in games like these, nowhere to be seen as usual

Lays the ball off to Maxwell knowing full well a cross is coming in, makes zero effort to get into the box & get on the end of it.

would rather walk around the halfway line and make a pretty pass

Nice to see him being good with his former teammates. But once again his impact on a big match was zero. Business as usual for him.

He decided el Clasico for us in 2009.
I was one of the guys who wanted him out back then but I am still sad watching him against Barca and knowing how his dream was crushed.

He didn't seem very grieved about going out... like he knew it was bound to happen

Teams that knocked Zlatan out of UCL

2010-11 Spurs (Milan on loan)
2011-12 Barca (Milan)
2012-13 Barca (PSG)
2013-14 Chelsea (PSG)
2014-15 Barca (PSG)

I sense a pattern here :barcascarf:

And the brace against Arsenal at Emirates... Messi of course stole his thunder by scoring 4 goals in the return leg. But one should not let Messi's outrageous performance make light of the importance that 2 away-goals would have in a CL knock out game! In fact he even scored an away goal for us against Stuttgart in KO round in a 1-1 match!

I take it that Zlatan's infamous lack of goals in CL crucial stages is actually an overblown analysis that has only grabbed some attention because of the stupid propaganda that English seem to have on Zlatan.

The media are having fun continually linking us with him. He wouldn't start here, and he'd get pissed off if he wasn't starting every game, so it just goes to show how ridiculous these rumours are.

I'd rather start Ibra over any of your strikers, no joke.

Remy is pretty average and Costa is overrated, started pretty good though. Too bad Mourinho usually only plays one upfront.

Remy is a good backup. I would have picked Ibra over Costa years ago, not any more. Costa kept getting injured or suspended in the 2nd half of the season and his performances suffered due to that. Ibra is just a bad idea because of his attitude, he wouldn't take being on the bench for more than 1 match.

Other than the fact that Costa is a massive douche, no one would, or at least, should pick Zlatan over Costa as it stands now. Zlatan isnt quite the same anymore, and he is old. Sure, he could still do some magic on the ball that Costa could only dream of, but other than that, Costa would be the choice.

Uh... Why shouldn't they? Ibra still picked up more goals + assist than Costa playing in less competitions.

You must be joking, would you seriously pick a 33 year old who is on his way down, or a 26 year old striker who will do the job for many years(most likely).
