Depay, Aguero, Dembele, Fati... And Braithwaite coming off a long term injury too... So many forwards but none of them turn up for work lol
We will have more problems with this front line later in the season
Xavi is already known for having a soft spot for players in Qatar according to Khaled and Pique/Busi/Roberto etc are his friends. If anyone thinks amigos culture will change when he comes it may just be the opposite. Don't be surprised if youth get actually less chances.
Missing from the team yesterday, outgoings and injuries :
Messi, Griezmann, Pedri, FDJ, Araujo, Dembele...
And people think we can maintain last season's level replacing those with old relics and Barca B youth lol
I don't think it will change under Xavi and it may even be worse if the rumours that he will implement a core Pep style with this squad are true lol.
Me and BBZ and co are like a broken record at this point but the 11 we played last game and in the games we drew against those teams are...
Now we are saying Xavi will need years to fix things but after Koeman had his squad stripped down of MESSI and Griezmann and squad players he wanted like Emerson and Moriba and harassed by his own board saying he needs Koeman to play Puig to get a renewal a bad run of results is enough to pay...
The Youngcules account and its fans are already making excuses on Twitter for when Xavi fails after the game against Alaves, saying 'Xavi will need the absolute most patience to make this squad work':lol::lol::lol:
You can't compare Man City to Al-Sadd even if their league position is the same, it doesn't just scale up like that.
The pressure of managing in a competitive league is way higher. The managers and teams you are facing are way more tactically advanced, the dressing room is harder to manage, the...
So from 2010 onwards Barca B has mostly been in Segunda. When we were about to relegate Pimienta took over and many signings of older players were made, giving the squad by far the best talent in the league for the 3rd division the next season along with experience. Didn't get them promoted...
Pimienta and Xavi are from the same mold. Their only managerial experience is managing in very weak leagues with teams way better then the competition and have the same excuses made for their failures like you are doing (early red card, hyper-defensive team, lost on penalties etc) and their...
One was offside. So we had 2 big chances they had 1. Not a lot in it when you consider we are playing one of the worst sides in the league.
And then we have a guy who really should be a 2nd striker or a winger playing as poacher, pressing up and taking all the chances.
If he fixes his crossing he could be deadly. Incredible pace and burst and gets down the left flank with ease but the crosses are always off target. Regardless it's a good problem to have. Starting him Vs lower teams like today could help a lot.
Coutinho is mentally shattered. Of course he isn't playing like Liverpool Coutinho. He looks like he doubts himself every time he touches the ball. The tap in didn't really help him, he needs to score a great goal then he might start believing in himself more but he looks miles away from that.
He was slowing the game down today. Against deep blocks when you're attacking you need to play quick one touch football and get the ball up the field quickly. Instead taking a long touch and passing sideways. Riqui did the same thing but in advanced positions, even worse, open men in front of...
You are right on Griezmann. I was very critical (mostly regarding financial issues) but it's undeniable even a Griezmann in terrible form contributes way more than the shit we are putting there. When you drop in quality like that across the pitch you will see it in results.
This 'controlling the game' stuff is getting a bit ridiculous, we did against Rayo, Granada and Cadiz too but couldn't win any of them. We just have a ton of possession and do nothing with it because our opponents can sit back and watch us.
Not only is our squad very subpar it's also full of injury prone players so we will never be full strength in a season, making our true level even worse. Terrible squad planning
Yea I noticed it specifically when he took a shot just outside the box, it deflected, and they made a 2v2 counterattack because him and Gavi were so far forward. Like I mentioned before that could burn us against better teams and it has. Needs to work on positioning.
Other than that not a bad...
