Don't get me wrong, I love MAtS but I think it is tooooooooo much to say he is the best GK in the world based on only a few performances.

So, if Munir or Sandro scores 7 goals in the next 3 Spain matches he becomes a better striker than David Villa ?
Sports fans tend to oversimplify the process of making great players be it in any sports. It takes great amount of skills, talent, insane hard work, tough mentality and consistency to become a Great. MATS has shown that he is capable to do that and become a better keeper than Valdes (even the god mode Valdes of last season). But not yet, give him time and after a few years, he can be in a discussion whether he's a better GK than Valdes or Kahn or Cech etc.
Remember, even Messi said "It took me 17 years & 114 days to become an overnight success".

Courtois in my opinion is quite overrated.De gea and Mats are the best young Gk's atm.
Would tend to agree. Courtois is good but people act like he is on par with Neuer. I would probably include him with Mats and De Gea though.

Courtois overated is a good Joke :beer2: That he is on the same level like Neuer is crap but compared with all the young prospects he's the better one. Past 4 years he's playing constant on a high level. I think 3 a 4 years and he wil be the best keeper in the world.

Courtois is the best "classic" gk. He is superb on the line and can make you any save.
BUT if he would play with a team like Barca or Bayern, he would really struggle. Courtois is not comfortable with his feet and a high line would make him look like an average gk.

Courtois is a beast. He can not play that well in teams like Bayern and Barca but don't say he is overrated. Messi did not score for 7 or 8 matches now. It does not mean anything. But still scoring past Courtois is very tough. He is not on par with Neuer though and he never will. For me Courtois is the best young GK and then Mats and DDG comes. Can't say who has the higher ceiling.

I would love to see Courtois (or indeed any young keeper in a new country) deal with the river of shit and hate that was thrown at DDG for his first two years with us by every single media source and opposition fan in the country and come out cleaner than a new batch of laundry to be our most consistent player for nearly 2 years now. I wouldn't swap him for any keeper in the world regardless of ability.

???? He's talking about scoring against Courtois, the last time Messi did that was in Dec 2012. They've played against each other 8 times since then.
Courtois > MAtS right now, but MAtS looks to have great potential at Barca.
