De Gea is almost 24 that is 1 and 1/2 years older than both Mats and Courtois. Even then Courtois is better than DDG. I don't see why Courtois is overrated. On what basis do you think DDG is better overall. He maybe good at his feet but Courtois is a beast and it is not easy to score past him. Once he settles at Chelsea you will see the difference. DDG is not so young anymore but for GK position he is relatively young. Courtois benched fucking Petr cech. Just stop saying Courtois is overrated. He is the best young GK. End of..

And one more thing i don't who has the higher ceiling among all three but at present Courtois is the best young GK.

But there have been times at Chelsea where he was shown to be not as great as he did at Atleti. Perhaps its because his defense was rock solid there.

It is completely new team and league for him. I think it will take some time to settle and get some understanding with chelsea defense.

Why only after this season? What should he prove with Chelsea that he hasn't proved with Atletico?

I rate Courtois ahead of Ter Stegen and De Gea ATM, even though I believe Ter Stegen can surpass him soon.

Even at Atleti, Courtois has been shaky at times, it's not like he has been some demi-god every single match, but those incidents and his mistakes early in his career are rarely talked about since his career at Atletico back then was somewhat low profile to say it that way. People hardly knew who Courtois was, forget that, many people hardly knew any team other than Barcelona and Real Madrid.

At this moment, their difference in quality is marginal, even if Courtois could very well go on to surpass Cech. The former didn't have to earn his place, as it was just handed it to him by Mou, a decision based long-term. So i wouldn't say he benched Cech.
By switching to a diff league/club, both TB and Steg 'll have their share of struggles, and should only be judged at the end of the season, only our boy is fighting a bigger war, given the impediments in his way, some placed there by design.

Mats is as good as anyone right now, but is just hard to prove it when he hasn't played in the big tournaments. This year will be the year for him to prove he is on that level and I think he will.
