At this point, it's not a matter of who's the better keeper or who's in better form, or rotation. Barça has its best defensive start in decades, not yet conceding a goal in 6 La Liga games, and Bravo has been a part of that. He's going to be given Barça's La Liga keeper spot until his clean sheet run is broken; he's earned that.

He hasn't earned a thing. The record would be the same with Masip out there thanks to the posts and Rakitic. This Bravo clean sheet hype is unbelievably irksome. Its not the first time a passenger has been involved in a Barca run of some sort. Song went 25 games or so before his first defeat. You also had players like Gudjonsen and Maxwell . I supposed after Rome 2009 we should made Sylvinho a full time starter again since he was involved in an important result, plus no goals conceded.

He didn't earn to get the starting spot in the first place though; quite to the contrary if you compare all 3 gks' performances in pre-season. And if "Bravo has kept clean sheets" is the only reason why MAtS (or Masip if he was fit) isn't given a shot, that's not a very strong one. Since when does "not doing anything wrong" earn you a place anyway, or mean that the team is stuck with you as a starter, when there are alternatives who might be just as good if not better? By that logic we could only rotate players who commit serious errors. Seems a bit arbitrary way to choose a keeper/starter in any position.

At this point I think language skills could really be a valid argument though, if MAtS's castellano hasn't progressed a lot that could be a problem.

You all are missing the point. Whatever the reason Bravo started the season in goal (let's say it was ter Stegen's injury), *he* has been the keeper on the field for 6 clean sheets. It goes without saying that it's the entire team working in defense, not a solo effort. But you give that keeper the opportunity to continue this defensive streak unless there is an absolutely compelling reason he shouldn't. It's just respect for his contribution and his personal record- it would have been the same had it been MatS or Masip. You wouldn't sit a player for a game if he had a chance to set a consecutive game scoring record for their club. You don't take a pitcher off in the middle of a no hitter. You respect the player and give them their chance to pull off something special in their career.

Ter Stegen, in my opinion, will continue to start CL matches in the meantime. And when the clean sheet streak is over, we will probably see more rotation at the keeper spot.

I'm sure MATS know what the story is. He's at the greatest club in the world. He got injured. Bravo has been exceptional. That's the way it is. He just needs to keep working hard and his chance will come along

Not really. Exceptional was Valdes last season, having to save the team a lot of times. Bravo's been watching the games so far. He hasn't been tested yet. That save against Malaga was luck, had it gone in instead of hitting the post, and it'd been a huge blunder.

He has had a few more saves than just the one against Malaga and although he has not had a lot to do he has been very good in the air and with the ball at his feet.

On top of that he does seem to be a calming influence on the defence and is vocal.

He has not been 'execptional' but nor has he done as little as one lucky save against Malaga.

Your standards must be very low. All I can guess is that Pinto finishing the season must have made you forget what an exceptional GK looks like.

Makes me wonder if he missed out on watching the World Cup of Goalkeepers this summer too.

That save against Malaga was the hardest, the other were pretty easy. He also hasn't been that good with his feet, though he improved that in the last two games.

MaTS robbed and under appreciated :(

He's doomed to fail if they continue the Bravo favoritism

What's even funnier about it is how Bravo is going on 32 while ter Stegen is going on 23. We're favoring a keeper who could be our starter for the next 2-3 years over a keeper who could be our starter for the next 10-13. And it's not like Bravo has at any point proven himself to be better than ter Stegen, which, in fact, has actually been the opposite.

Remember when we heard all that bullshit about Lucho rotating keepers?

He's about to get badly exposed. You can sense his averageness even when doesn't have anything to do.

0:28. It's his trademark "boot the ball foot-high directly into the opponent" clearance. He just has luck that Granada doesn't have many bodies forward to intercept it.

So do you think Bravo should start in the Champions League as well? Because following that logic then Ter Stegen did nothing wrong against APOEL and kept a clean sheet.

If he doesn't start then what do you say then?

And if he does start then this is one shitty case of management to send him out against PSG after sitting on the bench for a couple of weeks after only playing one match and not even getting a chance to get match practice ahead of this big game when Lucho obviously could have rotated the GKs yesterday and told Bravo that he is doing it because of the CL game.
