Indeed, that's what I wanted. It's poor judgement to let a player out without any match rhythm.

I still think that there should be one GK for La Liga and CL and one for CDR though, but it looks like we might have 3 GKs playing the 3 competitions this season(tS - CL, CB - LL, JM - CDR)

Very weird, stubborn and poor decision by Luis Enrique.

How about lack of match rhythm?

Bad stuff from him, but here comes the witch hunting. When people can go after Messi based on game lulz then ter Stegen is nothing.

Still better than the Bravo witch-hunt here on barcaforum after games where he plays well, does his job and makes no mistakes.

To be fair raki had to cover 3 players.

Fucked up on the corner but it happens, I still believe he's better than Valdes at commanding his box. So gutted the 3rd went though his legs, would have been an epic save.

He's much better than this, especially in the box. But for now I find it funny how people have been clamoring for days how he should absolutely start in the league and Bravo hasn't done anything so far.

Alba getting torn to shreds almost the entire 90 minutes, Alves dribbling the ball into opposition and losing it, Mascherano getting stiff-armed out of the way as the PSG forwards come trucking through, three men standing alone at our far post with only Rakatic to mark them, front line (Primarily Pedro) losing ball possession and conceding lightning counters left right and center, constantly giving up corners in stupid situations...

But yes, let's blame Mats. Bravo is clearly the superior keeper.

That doesn't take away the fact that he was bad tonight...

The scoreline is all that matters. So if PSG had hit the post 3 times like in our league games that would mean that they were on par.

Can't blame Mats. IIRC two out of the three goals (at I seen) could have been avoided and were the product of bad defending. MAsch shouldn't have let David Luiz turn and whoever decided to ignore the back post payed dearly.

Next time lucho decides to start him in a ucl match it would be great if he is given at least one match to get the rhythm. I don't see mats replacing bravo this season but bravo can also fuck up. We have to wait and see what is on lucho's mind.

It's the 2nd time he makes the same mistake. He did that with Douglas on La Rosaleda too. Not a good thing for Lucho.

Look at the GIF. I don't blame either Rakitic or MAtS. Rakitic was covering the zone in the middle of the box and MAtS tried to intercept a ball that was going to a wide open man that lost his mark.

If any should receive blame, is the entire set piece defense for failing, and maybe Alba and Iniesta for getting bamboozled and losing their markers. Look how they look at each other afterwards.

 This.

@Sumlit, Rakitic moved in baby steps there and didn't even try to make Verrati's life difficult. Stegen was all over the place.

Agreed, Bravo has been solid but he's not the super cool and young Ter Stegen so he gets treated like dirt.

The scoreline is all that matters. So if PSG had hit the post 3 times like in our league games that would mean that they were on par.

I don't see anyone claiming Bravo is better, but one keeper gets a lot of love without earning it while the other has a witch hunt against him just for doing his job.

I also think we can't blame him.
Mistakes he had were out of insecurity to rush out. Happens when you get one chance to play in a month and get the worst venue to prove yourself.

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
He made one mistake today, but Raki is to blame too. How can you lose a player like Verratti? He was the shortest player on the pitch! Anyway, the other two is on the defence.

As for MAtS, he really shouldn't have played this game. Not only is he young, he is inexperienced too who only had one single game under his belt before this match. Poor decision by Lucho.

That's of course not good either. Atleast I think the press will leave Bravo alone somewhat while they would be after this after their blue eyed boy Courtois wasn't signed.

People who prefer tS over Bravo is fine, but to witch hunt is not good at all.

If not getting a match against Granada at Camp Nou to catch some match rhythm before a game in the Champions League against PSG is too much to ask for then I give up. You can rotate the GKs to give the other one some game time before a big match and explain it with rotation.

It's the 2nd time he makes the same mistake. He did that with Douglas on La Rosaleda too. Not a good thing for Lucho.

Yep.
