Indeed, that's what I wanted. It's poor judgement to let a player out without any match rhythm.

I still think that there should be one GK for La Liga and CL and one for CDR though, but it looks like we might have 3 GKs playing the 3 competitions this season(tS - CL, CB - LL, JM - CDR)

Whatever Mats do, someone else is guilty.
Whatever Bravo does, he has nothing to do with it.
His defense was too good, he was lucky with posts, he was lucky with everything.
But honestly, if Mats is such a goat, and on this forum you get the impression that he is at least twice as good as Bravo, such a Goat would play better even if he is rusty.

So, we had 3 possible scenarios:
1. Bravo plays good in Liga
2. people wants Mats on Goal in La Liga, so that he won't be rusty in CL
3. Mats gets a chance in La Liga
4. Mats is rusty in Liga, we lose points, like yesterday
5. Bravo is angry, since he was benched even though he conceded 0 goals
= result=we have 2 "angry" goalkeepers, plus we have lost points which didn't need to lose
-- did we needed this? No

Scenario 2:
1. Bravo plays good in Liga
2. people wants Mats on Goal in La Liga, so that he won't be rusty in CL
3. Mats gets a chance in La Liga
4. Mats plays like a Goat from the first match, and he takes No1 place both in La Liga and in CL
5. Mats is happy, Barca forum is happy, Bravo is sad
= but that won't happen that easily

Scenario 3:
1. Bravo plays good in Liga
2. people wants Mats on Goal in La Liga, so that he won't be rusty in CL
3. Mats don't get a chance in La liga yet, because Bravo is in a better rhytm and we are winning matches
4. Bravo is happy, Barca is winning, Mats is unhappy, Barca forum is very sad

If people would hold a breath for a minute, they would realize that Lucho have chosen the most logical and safest solution.
He plays on safe with Bravo in La Liga.
And if Mats is a goat, he will be good even though if he is a bit rusty.

People will say that Lucho should have played Mats in La Liga.
What if Mats would have played equally as horrible in his La Liga debut and we would would have lost points because of him?
= people would again say that he is a rusty because of an injury and because of not playing
= but ok, the situation is that he was injured in a key moment, Bravo is on a hot streak currently and a team is more comfortable with Bravo currently

Also, why would Lucho risk with Mats in La Liga if we haven't conceded a Goal yet?
Just to make another player happy?
And with that decision, he will risk results, team morale, and a happiness of a Gk who actually hasn't conceded any Goal till now.

Barcelona, as a club/whole team is more important than a happiness of a single player.

I wouldn't care if Mats don't get a single Minute any more this Season, and if Bravo will bring us La Liga and CL.
Who cares about Mats then? We have trophies and we have a good keeper who has brought us those trophies.

It seems that a lot of people here are happy only if Barca is winning but with forum's favorites on the pitch (like Mats, Bartra, Deulofeu etc)
Without those in the team, the win is not that fun, it seems :/

I don't see anyone claiming Bravo is better, but one keeper gets a lot of love without earning it while the other has a witch hunt against him just for doing his job.

Exactly.

Again, I am also Mats fan, but what this forum does to Bravo is just insane.

People act as if Mats is at least two times better than a poor Bravo.
Whatever Bravo does is a crap and luck.
And no matter how he plays, we should just bench him, like he is the biggest crap out of a player.

People would probably play Mats even if he would play 5 matches in a row like yesterday and even if we would lose 10 La liga points.
They would say: "He will be better over time. We need to be patient."

There is too much teenage love and fanboyism on this forum towards either handsome players, either cool players or either La Masia products, and not enough of objectivity and chosing what is the best for Barca, as a team, in this moment.
It shouldn't matter if all of our players are ugly, not cool, if they don't deliver sex and similar things, as long as we are winning, as a team.

So, Bravo is a no1 in this moment.

its all lucho fault really, the keeper who plays in LA lega should also play the CL,
the other one plays in the Cup and that's that.

I dont know i saw it in his eyes that he is not happy at all
and the mistake he made was a huge one, i hope those mistakes
wont be common once he is the starting keeper for us

Fair.

But why is no one giving a s*** about Bravo's eyes?
Also, how would Bravo's eyes look like if he would be benched even though he conceded zero goals?

Mats' eyes and feelings are "important", we shouldn't hurt him.
And who cares about Bravo?

This is just insane.

Well, the Verratti goal was mostly down to lack of communication (and fragmentation of the players in the box) which is something that can be solved with match experience - since MAtS leaves the line and than hesitates he's the main offender to the press now. I especially love the headline in Bild where they not so subtlely insinuate that Beyonce laughed at his 'mistake' - most likely a vain attempt to undermine his manliness. :pep:
Prior to the Matuidi goal he hesitated and was glued to the line when the MAtS i've seen in the past would have tried to intercept the low cross (which one could see coming a mile a away) - probably because of the experience he had prior to that with Verratti.

All in all he had a bad match so it's back to the drawing board I guess.

Can't contest that.

If Bravo had played and conceded those goals there would have been uproar on here. Just sayin.

Obviously. If you've ten years more experience, and have the match rhythm to boot, and still make errors, you will be judged sans excuse.

For what its worth, I don't hate Bravo, nor do I think he's a poor keeper. He just doesn't serve Barca's long-term interest. What riled me most about him was his self-promoting stunts, see: RAC1 interview. That said, he's atm the more reliable keeper we've, and should start every match till the end of the season. I also think he will outlast Mats at Barca. Don't see the latter lasting at the club beyond 2 seasons. ('ve already said this on-record). There's no way tS will come back from this. Neither a catalan/canterano, nor a manager-sanctioned signing, his position is vulnerable, even more so than when he started here.

The lack of discernment on the second goal brought back shades of Casillas from last season's CL. And that was an experienced keeper, who also suffered from lack of match rhythm. Mats could be excused, but I still wouldn't want to see such errors from a pro playing at the highest level.
Also, I have always thought his keeping at set-pieces needed polishing. From the sizable sample I watched him of Gladbach, he looked a bit unsure at set-plays. Times where he could claim the ball, he tended to stay on his line despite favre deploying men at the goal posts.

Fair.

Not insane, but very understandable. Mats, given his age, and the fact that he's completely new to a country, league, team, and that he wasn't the first-choice keeper the media/majority fans wanted, being shat on at the press conference, not being lucho's signing, shows he has got a lot going against him. His job hasn't been made easier with the way he's managed either. He's thin on a support system. Unlike Bravo, whose ground reality is different. Hence, the fan's interest in studying Mats' eyes, and not Bravo's. I don't know why some moral support shown towards mats on an internet forum should offend/affect Bravo, or his fans.

Anyway, don't worry. Mats will be gone soon. And you can spare us your 1-100 scenarios. :banghead:

While your post was decent the bold statement is completely retarded. Lets see how Messi plays when he plays once a month

Anyway, don't worry. Mats will be gone soon.

So, his career in Barca is over?

Lol.
So, nowadays players are gone whenever a first obstacle occurs?

Barca hasn't played 10 official games yet this Season, and he should already leave the team even though:
1. he was injured in a crucial moment?
2. he played badly in the last match
3. the other Gk was very decent in other matches, he knows La Liga, he is older, more experienced, and not a bad Gk at all, to be honest

If Mats is a real professional and not a 13 year old boy (or a 13 year old forum-fan), he should have known:
1. that he is coming to a new country
2. that he is a young Gk, and that maybe he won't be a Gk no1 from the day1
3. he will have to wait and work, and that like in every job/in everything in life, there will be hard days/weeks/Months, but you have to continue and succeed despite all obstacles

One more time, I also love Mats and want to see him as our 1st Gk in the future.
But if he seriously already thinks about leaving our team, I can only say: "Go away, we won't cry for you."

And I don't mean anything bad or rude with that.
I mean, we are Barca, and if a player is crying for not being a starter in the best club in the world, 2 Months after his arrival, then yes, you can leave the club.

Barca needs real men, fighters and champions.
Not someone who wants to leave after bad 2 Months here.

No where did I say, he wants to leave. Way to twist my words.
Let me explain it better, or in a way that may be more comprehensible to you.

In life, there are:
1. external factors
2. internal factors
Both of which need to click for you to succeed.

Mats, in my opinion, has the talent and the mental fibre to make it.
I'm sure he was aware of the series of obstacles he'd 've to face before coming here.
That said, the spanish top 2 don't wait or offer extended 'buffer time' towards employees with no leverage at the club. There are hostile external elements facing Mats, more than normal to a player, and that has been evident ever since his transfer saga began. And even if tS puts up a collosal resistance if he wanted to, it will still come short because of these external factors, influential at that.
