Mate its Zubi we are talking about. The guy who didnt get Vertonghen when Frank De Boer practically was pimping him to Barca. The guy with the Thiago Silva or or no else policy when everyone and his mother knew we needed a CB. Dont be surprised if the policy is Reina+ (Courtois or no one else)

Martin Stranzl is one of the best center backs of the Bundesliga and Alvaro Dominguez(now Roel Browers thanks to Dominguez injury) is pretty solid as well.
Even our full backs are solid and hardly the reason for those goals.
The problem has been counter attacks by opposing teams which forced quite some of those goals we conceeded.
All things considered, ter Stegen's been pretty good this season even though he's already conceeded 13 goals in 8 matches.
Gladbach fans would be furious if that's all the club gets for ter Stegen.
Though, his contract will be up in 2015, which would limit the club in negotiations.

It depends on whether ter Stegen only wants to move to Barcelona or is ready to move to another club as they're in a weak position. If they dont accept an offer around that then they could lose him for free next year after.
I agree that it would be little for a player with Stegen's talent in this inflated market. Its a bargain if true!

- is only 21 yo, no one knows whether he can keep his level or not, become better or worse: aka gamble. On top of that, no one knows whether he can deal with the pressure in Barcelona : aka gamble
- never played abroad and needs to be acclimatized first which costs time and time is money
- is not set in the NT
- has next to no international experience on club level, and the experience he had was kinda unfortunate
10 million is a fair price, 12 million tops.

If the official sky twitter posted this its pretty much done. There will be some negotiations but his wage demands should be well within our budget. The price is fair as others have explained before, it sucks for Gladbach but there are too many good keepers around especially in Germany right now, they cant expect too much for a 21 year old.

Yep, if Gladbach gets 10 mil there are more than enough keepers available. Zieler has a 7 mil buyout clause and guys like Trapp, Baumann, Mielitz etc should be within reach. If all else fails, they still have Blaswich in the B squad who's quite decent too. If they can't find a decent keeper in Germany then all hope is lost.
