It doesn't matter what we think would be a good idea. Bottom line is MAtS will leave if he doesn't play all comp next season.

I honestly find those rumours and Eberl's comments ridiculous and a very cheap attempt to cause unrest within the team.
Realistically, look at it like this: Let's presume for the sake of the argument that a keeper retires at age 35 on average. That would give Bravo two more seasons with us, after which tS is only 25 years old. Basically, if tS can endure this situation for two more years or so or maybe less than that, he could be Barca's number 1 for a decade. The next two years aren't crucial for him on the NT level, as well, since Löw will field Neuer all the time anyway.
And sporting wise, a transfer to any other club bar maybe two would be a step down no matter how you slice it.
I really hope he doesn't make any rash decisions this summer.
As if two years "Or so" isn't a ridiculous amount of time. That'd be 4 years or so of not really playing in hope of being a starter one day.
If we have to reverse the roles or make Mats the all time goalkeeper next season to make him want to stay I think it should be done. It's a no brainer. Secure the keeper position for the next couple of years or secure it for the next decade.
It would suck to lose Bravo cause selfishly I think we all love having two keepers we can count on. If one got injured right now would any of us worry at all? Now think back to when Valdez was here and Pinto was our backup. That one season when Valdez missed significant time a lot of people were scared about Pinto taking over.
But I think we still gotta do what you said Serena. If MaTs leaves and then Bravo either retires or drops in form due to age we may not be able to find another keeper of MaTs quality who fits our playing style perfectly.
Ter Stegen's two crucial saves vs. Arsenal

What's the problem with loaning MATS out for a season or two and having him come back then? He gets the game time he needs to develop; Barca gets to keep Bravo who has done a really good job while he's at the best moment of his career; and when at 34-35, if his form starts to dip, you bring back a more experienced MATS.
Crucial saves? Are you God Serena's double account?
4-1 up on aggregate with 10 min left, nobody including the Arsenal players giving a fuck, MSN having a siesta upfront = meaningless save.
Good as a confidence builder tho.
Nothing shows how prepared/solid a GK is than making saves after long periods of inactivity. Especially for Barca.

I dunno why but this really hurt my feelings.
