At the moment I feel much more secure with Ter Stegen than Bravo. I don't like all the media commotion he's causing, but clearly the better GK.

Nutmeg away goal by Torres in CL QF. Did it change your mind?

There were about a million different directions Torres could have put his shot. When Ronaldo scored he was on the outside and could only shoot nearpost or straight at Bravo.

Not really the same at all.

At times I feel mildly inspired when I see you continue your Ter Stegen crusade with such dilligence. Not sure if I agree with but I respect the perseverance.

But what I say is true.

And I'm one of the few who didn't even slate Bravo for his performance against Madrid.

Getting nutmegged isn't really a "fault" or anything. Goalkeepers will try to block shots by enhancing their bodysize, making shots more likely to hit them. This requires also their legs of course. If it actually goes inbetween your legs in the process of this, then that's probably bad luck.
No goalkeeper or even defender stands there, closing his legs and being abysmal disfunctional just to avoid getting embarassed. It's equivalent to a goalkeeper who'd never jump during penalties, just to not get pissed of by that one guy in his career that will eventually try to panenka him.

I am not saying you're wrong. But to me the Bravo vs Ter Stegen discussion is irrelevant. I think they're both excellent enough to be put on the pitch. I just hope Ter Stegen doesn't decide to leave because I am sure he will be the first choice keeper two seasons from now. Heck..who knows maybe next season if Bravo expresses a desire to leave.

When straight saves at Bravo is hailed like some goalkeeping achievement here then no wonder every standard save is treated the same.

There was people who were calling for Bravo head because he conceded a nutmeg goal .
It goes both way . many saves by Bravo was discredited by members here .

Ronaldo was almost inside the 6 yard box when he shot. Torres was almost outside the 18 yard box when he shot.

MAtS' is just as bad if not worse.

Also it's Torres.

That was a really hard shot to block from TS. As a keeper you want to spread yourself out, make yourself look big. The hardest shot for the striker would be between the legs of the keeper and Torres pulled it off. It's not an easy shot. It just looks easy because MSN can do it with ease and thus this whole forum thinks it's an easy shot.

By the way, I really hope he doesn't leave.
