1 - Victor Valdes

Doesn't speak Spanish. Not great distribution or passing (he does rush forward A LOT but that's different). And he is a completely unrealistic option.

And when he rushes forward, he is fairly wild. Conceded two goals against Reus during the second leg of last season because he was out of position and he has been lucky in that regard more than once. He is Löw's darling and thus not touchable but he is anything but flawless.

If you want him, you get Valdes without the dribbling skills (disregarding the SuperCopa- fail). Besides, he won't leave München, only just got the fans to not jeer him anymore :tease:

Yeah according to Mundo Deportivo we are indeed looking to sell him in the summer and won't wait until his contract expires in 2014 to let him go on a free.

always been a fan of valdes but now knowing he wants to be somewhere else makes me not even want to see his face anymore. :( also every mistake of his is now magnified by 1000.

Sounds good. Courtois with his Liga experience would have an immediate impact. At 6'6 it will be nice to have some more height in our defense.

I agree that he is a completely unrealistic option but to say he isn't suited to Barca is ridiculous. Some people seem to think you need to be a playmaker to be a Barca keeper. If he's a good enough goalkeeper, distribution can be worked on and Neuer is a definitely good enough keeper. Not being able to speak Spanish is also not enough of a reason to discount him. Yes, it can be problematic at first, but you cant just ignore a keeper's incredible quality just because he would have to learn a new language. But ye there's no chance of Neuer leaving Bayern.

And he bags 3 goals on the game after his announcement
If the timing was bad before, losing now surely doesn't make things easier.

Language can be a huge problem. It's basically half the reason De Gea isn't performing at United. Plus Neuer's rushing is totally wild but protected by his defense. We do not have that defense.

To be honest none of the goals today were his fault. Angry mob will have to wait for another day.

The second goal we conceded on the aftermath of a corner that could easily have been avoided. Valdes should not have slipped that ball of his hands, that was his mistake of the game.

Funny, that you pick this one video ;) I watch him regularly as my best friends are Bayern- fans, and there have been quite a number of groan- fests when it comes to him leaving the box ;) But yeah, watch this one video of him and use it as proof... Btw: this was in the last few seconds of a match that München was losing so of course he was further up the field because they wanted to at least draw and Leverkusen was parking the bus. In any other case, as it happened with Reus last season, he would have been punished.
