Last season in between the injuries he was scoring wondergoals like vs Celta or Levante, and important goals like vs Dynamo or vs Real in the Supercopa
The difference is that last season he was still confident

Ansu just needs the confidence equivalent of Stegen's hair transplant to find his former self

Pedro was a super star and massively important to barca's style of playing. A pressing machine, great combination plays, decent dribbling and clutch scoring. Fati is not eligible to be in the same conversation as him.

Don't wanna downgrade Pedro, but Fati in his confident self is better player hands down. Pedro does what he is supposed to do like a good soldier, but would never rise above the team in occasion, at decisive moments to score a goal out of nowhere like Ansu did many times.
Had Fati been part of Pep's machine everyone will be going ecstatic about him.

Club needs to make a step back and realize that just because we jumped the gun with considering Ansu Fati a world beater at 19 or something, it doesn't mean he is now fucked for life as a player.

Simply go back to considering him just a talented youngster, needing plenty of time to improve and roll with that. His salary is unfortunate, but... the club did make errors of judgment with him, so... have to accept it and move on.

Pedri was an elite cog. Sort of like a much upgraded version of Ivan Perisic. Managers love these types.

Fati so far is not an elite anything.

Fati would have had absolutely no chance of playing for Pep's team. His main rival for the spot was none other than peak Messi.
