It's sport, I don't trust them a thing anymore. But I do believe it's possible he gets out as soon as January if he doesn't impress again.

With midfielders back we'll have these options in attack:

LW: Raphinha, Olmo, Pau, Ferran
CF: Lewy, Pau, Ferran
RW: Yamal, Raphinha, Pau, Ferran
AM: Olmo, Fermin, Pedri, Raphinha

So best would be if he'd go to a team in Spain where he can play regularly.

It's probably just made up bs. But if it isn't, we have nothing to lose playing him over Torres a couple matches and than make the decision, give him like 2 matches from start with clear instruction on how Flick wants him to play - if he fails he fails. Also, nobody in their right mind would pay up - so he stays or gets loaned where we pay most of his wage anyway, so there's that...

it was a very good showing today, involved in the play, running and a couple of good first time shots that were denied by a very good save

Much better than the last match.

Doubt that he will reach the starter level again, but he is already more useful than Tuna.

The only way for him to be a starter in this team is as a long term replacement for Lewy when he eventually declines. For now having him as a servicable rotation player that can come in and start non-big games when someone needs rest is the best he's probably gonna get unless he actually is physically okay and its all mental hes not gonna be the old fati again.
