There's no FC Messi on the second Sport front page though. Anyhow, most of the post match front pages looks like this whenever Messi turns on the style, so I was thinking it was a bit redundant, unless it had some hidden message, my brain is too feeble to comprehend. I guess not.

If so, they are delusional as hell.
Of course, Leo is very very special. But without our possession, passing accuracy and pressing, Leo would not get the ball 20 meters from the goal (20-30 times during a game). We can praise Leo (and we really should), but it's everybody from Pique, Busquets to our wingers pressing and Iniesta/Xavi that makes it possible for Leo to do his thing.
It's just that they are jealous. They got Khedira, we got Busquets. Busquets is one of the most technical, intelligent and tactical DM's in history of football - the other is just a tank with the first touch of an elephant. They got Özil/Alonso, we got Iniesta and Xavi - Alonso is a bonebreaker, Iniesta is a heartbreaker

Whenever some one can't have or reach something, They always try to undermine it's value, And that applies to madrid medias.
They undervalue our team, philosophy and style, By giving us 'cheap slogans' like FC messi, It's a sign of jealously and a sense of inferiority.
Yet in some instances the same messi that they just used to undermine us, Will attack him in some other time and find flaws in him when they feel their star is threatened, It shows their dishonesty, And week attempts to latch on anything that make them feel better about their inferior club.

Like no80s said, there's elements of jealousy and inferiority. In order to breach the gap that there appears to be between Real Madrid and Barcelona at the moment, the pro-Madrid papers will do all they can to undermine Barca's achievements and record breaking feats.
It is very hard for your bitterest rivals to see you do so well, do better than them and break records that they previously owned. They also don't see a clear end to this golden era so many will attempt to make it seem like it's not a big deal. These influences work on some people, but fortunately it doesn't seem to work on the majority.
However you don't need a Madrid paper to tell you that Messi is absolutely destroying things at the moment. Without him we certainly wouldn't be as strong as we are, he is the main peice of the puzzle. It's a team sport though, which we all should remember and without the rest, Messi would have a good crack at doing it on his own, but would certainly not be as successful.
Still - 1 more goal to equal, 2 to make it his own. It's as good as his.

The fact that his numbers are comparable to other teams is good and maybe "FC Messi" can be seen from that perspective (if goodwill is at its peak...), but it seems more like its just replacing the words Barcelona with Messi and thats where its a bit rude, seeing a team with the best midfield assembled in Footballing history, a midfield that helped Spain finally win a world cup with back to back Euros, its amazing how some can discredit them for the fact that added to them is one of the greatest players of all time...
Why cant people see this team for what it really is without chopping it down to pieces... Messi obviously does not depend on Xaviesta, Barca are still a brilliant side without Messi. But how can they create something negative from Messi being complementary to his team mates.... some pens out there are just artists at being hateful morons.
