Broscience is basically the information and knowledge passed among bodybuilders and weightlifters as fact, when actually it has very little scientific evidence. It's just built on the premise of "it's common knowledge" or "it worked for such and such" or "this guy said it, and he is ripped, so he must know" etc etc.

I didn't mean it in a condescending way, no, and what I meant with it (regardless of its meaning) was your way of using what your physio told you and which isn't the whole truth as an argument against what Sumlit said when he put some aspects into perspective. No offense here. And I didn't mean it with regard to your whole comment, just to the last bit about “there is no such thing as a complete discovery“. Which isn't entirely true from a medical point of view, as I explained in that post.

Messi treating schedule, according to md(google translated):

1) 15 days of rest for healing The first step in the recovery plan Messi is to heal the wound of the left hamstring. To do this, the player must rest over the next two weeks. Leo alternates rest with ice and also will draw blood from the damaged area so that the scarring is better. This phase began yesterday afternoon and in the Ciutat Esportiva.

2) Follow the treatment in Argentina
Once the wound is healed completely, in early December, Leo Messi will continue recovering his left biceps in Argentina. With the World Cup on the horizon, his health is also a concern to the AFA, hence it has been decided that Leo will do the work of physiotherapy in the sports facilities of the nt in Buenos Aires.

3) Disconnecting to avoid anxiety
The idea to go to Argentina is not because the club does not have good professionals, but more of a psychological issue. Working near the equip could cause anxiety for wanting to come back to play again quickly. Hence it has been decided to recover quietly in Buenos Aires.

4) Visits of Dr. Pruna and Paolorosso
Although recovery in Buenos Aires will be done with specialists from the AFA, the club at all times will monitor the work of the player. Both Dr. Ricard Pruna as Elvio Paolorosso will travel to Argentina to be near the player and coordinate work with the doctors of the AFA.

5) Mini preseason before returning
Once the physiotherapy is done, with the wound completely healed and the muscle strengthened, Messi will have a sort of preseason. The idea is that before re-joining the work with teammates, Messi can prepare well physically to avoid future recurrences.

6) No pressure to return to the team
One of the points of consensus and among both Barca coach, Tata Martino, as Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella, is that Leo Messi should have no hurry to return to play. Despite the low estimated period is six to eight weeks, nobody wants to put a specific date for his return.

Next possible match may be against Atletico Madrid on 12 January (hopefully not yet vs Elche on 5 Jan). Let's hope the situation in league will be good then, so they won't need to make rushed decision.

Want to send Messi some well wishes and greetings to cheer him up. FB doesn't work. Does anyone know if I can send stuff to Barca and have them forward it to Messi?

Busquets: "Which player would I want to be reincarnated as? As Messi. I've seen him do things no one else does." [canal+]

Valdes: "Messi is and will always be the best player and the world, he's God. For what he gave the team and what he gave me as teammate."

Luis García, el recuperador que atenderá a Messi estas semanas, ya está en BCN. La familia de Leo lo fue a recoger a El Prat esta tarde...

Quien es Luis Garcia ?

If I am not mistaken, Luis Garcia is a trainer with AFA.

I have read reports/rumors saying that Brau can't dedicate himself fully to Messi and Barca as he is also providing some sort of service to Bayern players because of Guardiola?

Leo Messi

As many of you know, over the next few weeks I will be working full-time on the recovery of this new injury, for me it is a pity not to play with my team right now... Now the most important is to be recovered well for helping my teammates and for giving back all the support you've given to me in the best way I know how to do, playing football. Thank you for your messages!

For all the discussions on his diet causing these injuries - it says in a few reports that Messi hired a dietician this summer after his injury problems last season.
