Chelsea was the only team to park the bus against us in the CL and they were 1-2 mins away from a CL final.

Actually they were Ovrebo away from CL final.. :hooray:

Not to the extent some are saying, who claim 4 penalties or whatever, but let's be honest, any other referee on any other day would give at least one penalty (probably exactly one) to Chelsea..

Anyone but Ovrebo would have given the Ballack handball at the start of the game, and it would have been all over there and then. Or not given the Anelka dive. And somebody else would have given the Henry penalty in the first leg. Barca fully deserved to win the tie.

exactly... For all their hue and cry, we were denied our own penalty in the first leg which would have brought the whole game into a new scenario and Ballack didn't even deserve to play the second leg in the first place for the fouls he has committed in the first leg and he was only a yellow card away from suspension!!

Yeah, the tie was ***** up by the referees, but that worked for and against both parties.

Here the mighty hammer squashes "needs more rest" opinions:

Seirullo (physical coach): "Messi didn't rest enough? He returned in great shape. The little problems were more because he rested too much."

You two are just not being objective here.. That's all.. I too am a hardcore barca fan, yet as hard as it may be, you have to always strive to be objective..

Of course the first match was not clean, and chelsea may have been a bit lucky, but that's normal, decisions that can go either way, one side is always a bit lucky... But the second leg was something else, something almost unseen...

Why else you think Ovrebo never refereed another CL match?

I remember jumping up with joy after Iniesta goal, but lets stay real here..

Umm you are not being objective one bit. Objective and logical way of thinking is, Chelsea had 4 claims to penalty, Barca unjust red given to Abidal, and two penalty claims. But they were before any of Chelsea's. So which one of were more harsh, by the numbers Chelsea, by logical thinking Barca's.

It would have been 1-0 1st leg, and 0-1 in 2nd leg before any penalty claims for Chelsea. And it would have been over there and then when Chelsea would have had to open up.

That's the problem when referees start to make ties more even with their unjust ruling. Happened with Chelsea, happened with Milan and many others.

San Claudio Bravo
Half of Chelsea's penalty claims came from blatant dives by the greatest diver in World Football, Didier Drogba. That he was the most outspoken of critics is beyond ironic and really shows how much a delusional shit he really is.

The only real obvious claim they had in their supposed 5 penalty claims (2 dives and 3 handballs) was a handball by Pique where there was no intention but Pique clearly had his arm extended way outside his body.

Barcelona had just as many claims for plays and theirs were more justified than Chelseas. A goal and the incredibly unjust sending off of Abidal are much more solid claims than those of Chelsea.

Narrative and perception dictate reality though, as always.

So.....Romario just saind Messi suffers from a form of Asperger's Syndrome and that's why he's so good at football.

Would explain why he has only ever been interested in football and not much else, people with Asperger's Syndrome tend to have just one keen interest, and maybe why he was always pretty quiet, although it's just plausible, not definite, he might not have it of course.
