He'll win another Ballon D'or, really hope that it will be the next.
If he plays at the same level he actually does, wins at least la Liga and Copa America, there won't be any debate.

He'll win, at the very least, one more Balon D'Or, likely more.

Ronaldo deserved this one, let´s hope Leo will be motivated enough to do his best and win the trophy next year. He is the best player of all time and Ronaldo has no chance against him if he is on form.
Sucks to live in Portugal today for a Messi fan. All this Ronaldo love is unberable, wish me luck.

Deserved?, the fact that the voting period for the last one is dubiously extended for Ronaldo and this year it was closed right b4 Messi got his records show you the favoritism from the great Fifa here.

Ronaldo is 30 and scoring mostly penalties and tapins. He will decline slowly.Messi won't.Don't know how many ballond'or messi will end up with but it will surely be more than 4 and the best ronaldo can pull off is 4(mostly because of his age).

I don't really care much for Messi's individual achievements. His greatness will only get bigger if Barca continues to win. Let's hope the Atletico game is the turning point of the season.

Outside of Bayern, there is no team that is on another level from everyone else.

Even for them, I'd say they haven't been tested by a really good team yet.

True. They did lose to Man City, but Bayern wasn't serious in that game.

But at least we know other teams aren't unbeatable. Real is falling back (esp. with Modric's absence). Chelsea's defense isn't great. We proved we can beat Atletico.

So as long as the team keeps improving, Barca has a chance. And winning is the only way for Messi to augment his greatness in history.

However, his extremely fit body/athleticism, and his extremely strong desire to compete/competitiveness, coupled with a very strong Real Madrid side will probably guarantee him not only a lot of goals (PKs, tap-ins or not), but also team trophies for a few more seasons to come. If he has got the better stats and trophies and his name is Ronaldo, I am afraid he will have the edge over Messi on BD no matter how he actually plays.

If Messi plays like he actually is in current form, he will win. For the past month or 2, he's been back to the Messi we all know, and simply is again miles away from the rest of the football world.

Now if he plays like Athletico, he's simply solidifying his "GOAT"-ness.

Yes, but he will definitely be needing team trophies too. Most football journalists/pundits don't watch every game of ours like we do and they don't realize how good Messi still is. They think he has declined and all they look at is stats and mostly goal count to determine who is the better one, him or Ronaldo. And trophies.

What did Ronaldo win in 2013?

And Messi in form will help Barca win. Goes hand in hand.
