It's a matter of a definition. Is it an assist, if a goal is scored after the ball has rebounded from a post, or an opponent? Transfermarkt counts it as an assist, OPTA&whoscored don't.

Not untrue. As stated in my website, it uses FIFA definition of assists. In that season, Messi assisted 7 un-OPTA-assists: that is 29 OPTA assists for Barcelona in 2011-12.

He was poor as was everyone else. Terrible all over. Why didnt Leo just didn't play the last 10 minutes on the last man to get balls across goal, in behind or even rebounds.

He was crowed. Everytime he shot the ball hit a levante player. The problem with parked buses is old, Barça struggle against them since Pep's days. A #9 in front of Messi would had helped.
Or maybe if Neymar was playing, he would drag some defenders...

When gets crowded he comes deep to get the ball, just like he did against Almeria picking it up and going down the other end of the field to score a great goal. His long balls from midfield were great.

Shame he didn't take his chances he got. I think his next home game he will be close to match fitness.

Bus parking should not be a problem anymore. We knew coming into this tie that Levante would be deep sitting cowards, why did we have to play right into their hand? If we had played direct and quick from the beginning we would've had many more chances to score and less dabbling around passing it when there was never gonna be a slow opening. From the end of the 2nd half, we did start playing on the break more and using quick transitions and had plenty of chances which we were unlucky not to utilize.

The solution to parked buses is to play counters and as quickly as possible. Get the bus to stop being a bus. The plays we had from being direct are the ones that led to goalscoring chances. When we held the ball and played slow, they could absorb everything we did with ease.
