people saying he was goat against bolivia but now that he faces a tough team he suddenly wasn't so goat .strange.

Strang? He just played 90 in South America and just came back a few days ago. We have a bigger match in Atletico and that's what we need to win. Nothing's strange.

Could be. If Neymar wants to reach his full potential as a player (and chalenge for best player in the world) then he will probably need to leave Barcelona.

It's probably true and it's a tough decision for Lucho or the board to make. I wouldn't want to lose him because his ceiling is frightening but he can't play to simply serve Messi.

he still has his acceleration and his amazing speed .. it's just that his Stamina is so horrible that after 1 run he hide behind opponents or walks so he can rest for 15 minutes before he can make another run .. that's the main difference between messi post 2013 and before 2013 .. messi when he had the stamina he made runs without much care because his legs responded perfectly .. to make a long story short .. no loss of acceleration and no loss of maximum speed .. it's the loss of stamina .. which at the age of 27 - 28 is very very odd

Come on now, for almost 2 seasons MSN has destroyed teams in various ways - not only Ney looking for Messi or whatever. We've seen all three of them combine; Messi assists Ney, Suarez assists Messi, Messi assist Suarez, Ney assist Messi and so on. Tonight it simply looked like all 3 of them were out of focus - but Suarez just looked clumsy like an elephant in a china shop.

I was really hoping he would score today but sounds like he had a bad game.

Messi hasn't scored in the past four clasicos, that's just so out of character for him.

Messi tried while he could. I was impressed with his tracking back at some point.
Eventually, he ran out of gas.

Playing in midfield was a mistake. Real sat deep and narrow, played Casemiro too and there was little space to operate in.

Could have been decisive had it not been for that Keylor save and blatant "mistake" by ref not to give horseface second yellow.

Yes, playing midfield was indeed a mistake - it was super-crowded and it failed time after time. Messi should have switched to RW and than try to get in behind, that would also stretch out RM leaving more space in the middle for Suarez or even an Iniesta run - but we just looked a little bit clueless and out of ideas when they shut us down.

Shocked people easy at forgetting things.
Think it this way..

Messi picked the atm game over this one. He could've surely made more effort but he thought it would danger his performance against atm. It's against Madrid. A team with the likes of pepe and ramos around. To make it worse, his stamina is indeed not in a good shape.

I would easily forgive him, also ney and suarez, if the outcome against atm prove as positive. If there has to be a lost, then today's game is obviously better than next midweek one.
