Ffs just gets worse. That tosser got through to the semi finals. Amazing how lucky Ronaldo gets with his national team yet Messi doesn't get any luck at all. It's not fair. Ronaldos gonna win that tournament and then they will shove that dos our throats every day of the week. Not fair. Three finals and all of them doesn't go messis way, u can't get unluckier than that

Belgium should take care if they keep the form...but wait and see (Croatia was a hope and...)

If he wins the hype would just go crazy...

messi lost 4 finals, its all about because he does not have luck like ronaldo?
Yup . Imagine Messi Being target man of Argentine with Renato Sanches's and Quaresma's working their ass of . He would have hit the target at least once, given the. number of chances Penaldo gets, Here Leo has to do all the dirty work in midfield ,he has to find the net and if not possible should hope for Higuen and Aguero to find the net.. Life is so unfair

Does anyone really think Messi is capable of watching qualifications and WC 2018 from his sofa if he is even remotely healthy? Lol don't kid yourself...

Today, Tinelli (big TV star and sports fan in Arg) said that he talked to Messi and there is a chance he will come back. Cmon...Even Messi said "He thinks..." its the end, twice. He doesn't know shit. He better rest and come back for qualis!:spank:

I truly don't understand the people who are going on about him being a choker, quitter, or worst of all, actually questioning his standing as one of the all time greatest players. only a year ago, this guy produced the single best season of football ever played in europe (58 goals, 30 assists, treble, league winning goal v atletico, THAT performance v bayern). if you want to buy into gol.com tier narratives of legacies being reversed in the span of a day, please refrain yourselves to other threads.

He should sit out a year.
Dont agree. He should rest and come back to Barcelona, and once qualification cycle starts get it going with Argentina. Try to fix the issue that have been plaguing them for last 10 years, not playing like a team (in attack).

They need to work on their issues if they are to make something out of next WC. I know many thought this generation had its last chance in 2014, but few players (Mori, Romero, Gaitan, Lamela, Dyabala obv, Icardi etc) are here and can help immensly. They are as good as any other team in the world.

As far as Messi goes, if he truly retires from int football then he is making mistake plain and simple. He has lost 3 finals with Argentina (ok, 4), but still if he has a chance to get into another one why not? Its not like there is a big difference in losing 4 or 5. As Luis Brown and Menotti said, his decision shouldn't be accepted. He needs a rest, but he better get it going in a month, he will have plenty time for family and a rest once he retires.

Respect to El Phenomenon.... Very kind words and befitting a legend, unlike the coked-up asshole that Maradona is!

I don't see how 4 finals is a bad thing in people's minds? They're just decided on random variables.

Like if Higuain didn't miss an easy goal, suddenly Messi is a better player? I just don't see the logic in these discussions.

Messi unquestionably solidified himself as the greatest player in history last season. He could quit the whole sport now, and it won't change that fact. Eventually he won't be as good as he currently is obviously. But that will never change what he has already shown himself to be.

Anyways, I'm bored to death with this Euro, let's get done with this international foolishness and get to our pre-season friendlies.
