he literally put in a shift in the 2 big games after that double on bayern...in the game at the allianz and the final in berlin. and has had quite a few game winners v atletico since then...

ask yourself this then: over two legs did we really see messi at his lethal best, playing according to his own standards, and validating his reputation as the best player in the world/history?

let me just add that yes of course i think he is, but that i think he was poor against juve overall. he missed a couple of shots he really should not have, not as the player he is and that we love to see.

You can't blame him for the first one. He knows he has to put it between the legs of the defender, just a shame that path didn't lead into the goal afterwards. The second one was an awkward timed volley on his right foot, but still probably should've scored. It had to come from him tonight. He was motivated and worked hard but lacked a bit of magic.

Dont like the way the team play with him at AM. It is all too predictable, slow and easy to defend.

If it is to work next season the rest of the team and Messi need to change how they play as it is so one dimensional watching Barca pass ball slowly until Messi trots back and picks up ball.

Against decent teams it almost has to be a Messi wonder pass just to open them up.

This was dangerous play and a clear yellow card. Piece of shit refereee didn`t give it, but it definitely wasn`t a red card. I wouldn`t give a red card for this even to RM playing against us.
