Barca constantly have got the better of Real and Messi has been very good last two times against them. All time great in one.

Messi also does it againsy Atletico.

So it is not about destroying weak teams.

Nothing to do with being fickle. It is completely fair to expect more from Messi than today.

Why is Messi able to perform in La Liga?

You're acting like Messi hasn't performed in the Champions League. His goalscoring speaks for itself in the Champions League. He cannot put in a goat performance all the time, especially with that Barcelona team. He still needs support! Why can't you get that into your head?

There is no shame to admit that Ronaldo is the superior CL knockout player. In the past 5 seasons Messi scored 2 goals from the quarter finals onwards while Ronaldo scored 20. It's what it is and it's not only because Madrid have a better midfield either. Madrid were heavily outplayed many times by even Wolfsburg and Schalke in recent years but Ronaldo came up with braces and hattricks when needed and we Barca fans played it down as "rubbish opponents anyway".

Well that is the managers fault then, why else have a manager if he is not preparing the players for these types of occasions? Ronaldo is deadly because Real create opportunities for him, Barca don't do the same for Messi. What did Suarez do tonight or Iniesta, they should be helping him, its a team sport.

Before the pass comes the move, as Xavi once said. If Messi played for Madrid instead of Ronaldo they'd lose and people would blame rubbish Benzema scoring 5 goals all year and turtle Kroos making only sideway passes. If you actually watch Madrid they create "easy" chances through spamming crosses. Ronaldo lives off aerial balls, being at the right place at the right time for second balls and being quick on counter attacks. Messi doesn't have that scoring versatility, creating chances for Messi is a lot harder.

He can't create for himself because there's no space, he can't create for Suarez who just dives and points to the ref, he can't create for Roberto, for aged Iniesta. What kind of things he should do?

Suarez did as much for Iniesta as Messi did.

If the claim is Messi is the better all round player and midfielder, scorer and creater as opposed to Ronaldo then it is lame argument to go on about his team mates not providing for him.

Messi has the platform to perform better than Ronaldo in la liga most seasons. If he and team fail in CL against weaker or comprable sides that is on all of them including Messi and Messi.
