truly shocking and this dude is a "journalist", the only hope is that such retardness is not so widespread in the press.

Copa has as much quality competing as the euros.

Not really. There has been a lot more traditionally competitive teams in Europe and especially since the teams like Brazil, Argentina etc. have declined significantly over the last decade, the gap between the Euro and Copa is now enormous.

You seem to think that the quality in Europe hasn't also declined

When some European teams decline, other teams get better vice versa.
Europe has been fine and will always do fine especially in terms of tactical superiority.
South American teams have also relied their football too much on technical aspects which made them competitive internationally but they are now lagging far behind even in terms of techniques since Europe has better technicians.

Definitely not. South American teams are very technical teams and only a few european teams can match them in this area

Euro is a watered down version, so YES Copa is more harder

MessiTBE right now. Just relax man.

Put him on suicide watch, the result is good for Messi.
VVD didn't win a glorified friendly and Bernardo Silva is the best player of the glorified friendly.

wouldnt put it past ronaldo if he was paying off these journalists over the last few years.
he always seems to turn up to events which he knew was going to win and miss the ones he dont.

look at the desperation of the guys wanting to be on every important picture in a football match.
same with the euros. the team won without him but he couldnt stay out of the cameras.

the desperation in him reeks, compare that to messi, they are absolute polar opposites. messi oozes class personified.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if this turned out to be true!

Usually don't watch pre match stuff but did yesterday for Nations League and tbh the obsession with superlatives is becoming really stupid these days. Maybe that's just false memory but it feels like it just became like this the past couple years.

It was almost exclusively about how Ronaldo is still "the best" at 34 and nothing about the rest of the Portugal team, how the Netherlands have "the best CB duo in the world", how VVD is the most expensive and best defender and even the commentator highlighted every simple duel Van Dijk won as something unbelievable and how he is that unbeatable giant. Low point was when they showed interviews asking swiss players if they are gonna tell their grandchildren about this unbelievable Ronaldo show right after they lost

Often the same for Messi too of course. I mean he's the best i ever saw playing but the overreaction to every little action is sometimes way too much as well.

Regarding Balon d'Or...Messi should win it. At least if its about how good a player was and not just about what he won with the team. If they just give it to the player that won CL or most titles okay but they could just cut out the whole voting thing entirely then as it becomes pointless anyway.

Messi fanboys are so fecking pathetic and these muppets are so easy to spot as well. You can tell them apart from a regular Barca fan from a mile away.

It will be sad day when Leo finally decides to hang them up, but one positive that can be taken from it is the purging of all these petulant, spastic children.
