I think the most important measure would be what percentage of goals and assists those players are contributing.
If a team scores 20 goals a season and Gasgas scores 15 of them, this should be different from another era when the team scores 800 goals and Jamdav scores 50 of them. Also another important measure would be assessing contribution in big games, and match winning goals like a goal that clinches a 3-2 victory. Otherwise plenty of time will be wasted here

As a goalscorer between ronaldinho vs neymar, and suarez vs eto'o we need to compare their conversion rates
Your last sentence is as funny as it gets . With the same level of thinking we can start saying messi has never scored vs chelsea but cristiano has, and so in a UCL final. See what i did there?
Wait...what?
So you genuinely believe that Eto'o was ever streets ahead of Suarez? For the love of Christ, Suarez almost single-handedly gave the EPL title to Liverpool last season (even though he missed something like 6 or 8 games in the beginning) while he has massively improved our team since finding his feet this season. My point was not to isolate Man City and PSG, but to stress the point that some of Suarez's goals this season were of colossal importance. I am trying to think of an occasion when Eto'o scored two goals in big CL away games (in his several years with us) and I really can't find any examples. Eto's biggest ever goals with us were his goals in the finals of Paris and Rome. But Suarez has shifted into top gear straight away and we cannot ignore that.
