How on earth do you know that? Dembele's terrible misses cost us heavily, there can be no doubt about it. He had some good spells during the season, but after his previous injury turned to crap, then remained crap, missed 2 sitters vs Liverpool, then got injured again. These are the simple facts.

Look at the 2nd half and our mentality. After 3-0 Lpool became a lot more cautious in their approach, but still had the upper hand. After 4-0 they parked a jumbojet, but our tired divas couldn't do anything.

They wore us out in the 1st half and tore us to shreds at will in 2nd because we were tired and our seniors thought ahhh, we are only 1-0 down. BAM 3-0 in 2 minutes. Shock and fatigue.

Andthen happened the Defend The 3-3 aggregate score sub by Valverde. We were doomed at this point.

The "simple facts" are that these moronic thoughts are for nothing else but finding a few scapegoats (or a single one in this case).
Putting a huge fiasco into the shoulders of a player, a substitute, who just played 4 and a half minutes in a previous game, is madness.
it's not just unfair, it is childish and lacks any logic...

I see a few people who were bigging up Valverde like he is the greatest coach of Barca are here blaming Dembele.

While I know livescore (which is how you most likely watch Barca games), Told you that Liverpool scored 4 goals and that if Dembele scored those sitters then Liverpool would have needed 5 which means Barca would go through.

But if you were to actually watch the game you would have realised that with big dick Valverde squatting on the sidelines doing jackshit while watching Barca get overrun while having no midfield control whatsoever that whatever the score was in Camp Nou , Liverpool would have overturned any result.

Shots on Target 7 vs 5,
so Liverpool could have scored 7 and Barca 0
Is that right, genius

Hey retard they eased off after scoring 4 cos they knew they had won. Only a complete imbecile will use stats like above to judge the game.

Football is too complex for you. Switch to another sport.

By watching the game and using his brain.

We are all reacting extremely emotionally to the result. If one cools down his head and suppresses the sorrow, it's clear that Liverpool got very lucky in the second leg. After going 1-0 up (Alba howler) Liverpool did nothing to seriously threaten us before the 2-0. In matter of fact, we had the better chances in that period but wasted them. It was not as one-sided as it appears to be. I generally avoid explaining results through subjective factors, but I think that in this case, mentality was the issue for us. We just completely lost our cool after the 2-0.

Claiming that Liverpool would have been able to overturn a 4-0, just to make excuses for Dembele, is disingenuous in my mind.

I am not sure you realize how absurd your statements are.

Moreover, why is it so difficult for you to just admit that Dembele wasted two glorious chances within 2 minutes, and that those chances did in the end matter. Yes, he just came on, yes he was rusty, but the fact of the matter is that his misses proved to be vital in the end. In fact, many in here said as much right after the 3-0 victory. You can also see Messi's reaction when Dembele missed his chance, it's as if he knew.

You see, if you go back in that topic, I said that Dembele is not a good 10 or less minute impact sub last year, since he needs to grow into the game. Yes it's a major fuck up of a chance, but our Brillianto (as some called him not so long ago) should know better how every our player works and what are their tendencies.

I'd say he is responsible for this shite against Liverpool with fucking this chance, but not for more than 10%.

As FCBfan22 said while Dembele can be blamed for the sitters, it wouldn't change much as Barca were getting bodied by Liverpool in Anfield (They were the better team in Camp Nou aswell) . And would have ended the tie in ET.

If only the man you were hailing just a few days ago as a great and amazing coach had an actual system, or learned from his mistakes, or brought Arthur in earlier etc.

For me its just shows how pathetic you are when you have been more active in this thread shitting on this kid than in the Valverde thread who orchestrated two bottle jobs in two years and made us arguably the biggest laughing stock in the CL

Dembele wasn't the problem, but he wasn't the solution either.
As I said before, he will get benefit of the doubt thanks to his age, but next season should be a make or break for him.
Will be his 5th season at senior level and 3rd in top club. He will need to make a much bigger impact with us or he should also leave

a) Thankfully you admit that Dembele's misses were pretty f***ing bad.

b) Absurdly, you insist that another goal for us in the Camp Nou would not make an iota of difference. INSANE claim!

c) I defended EV from the point of view that most of you single him out for several under par performances, curiously neglecting that we have an ageing squad, plus no Xavi-Iniesta in order to play the aesthetically beautiful football the whole world envied Barca for. Yes, EV is not great, yes he should go, but that is the least of our problems as kicking out managers is the easiest thing in the world. Did I ever say that EV was "great" and/or "amazing". It's just that being hysterical about the manager, is the least useful type of criticism known in the world of football. I am always dealing with the players first, managers a very, very, very distant second.

d) "Shitting on this kid" -> He is supposed to be a WC football player, if he proves to be well below that, he will get lots of poop from many people, not just me. So many of our players, have been receiving tough criticisms after the Liverpool debacle, even club legends that won multiple CLs, World Cups & European Championships.

Liverpool got very lucky in the second leg

Ahahahahah Ahahhahahaha my God thanks for making me laugh during this miserable time.

If anyone was lucky it was us in the first leg when Salah and Mane missed sitters and Messi was in GOAT mode.

Accusing us of being emotional and then writing pure retarded drivel like this? You don't understand football mate. It's beyond you.

Stopped reading at "EV being manager is the least of our problems". 2 bottle jobs in the CL where he was the main culprit but somehow he is the least of our problems.

LMFAO

Btw one more thing I love how the Valverde cheerleaders either disappeared from the face of the earth or started shifting the blame that a 1 billion euro team is shite. Some of you need to get help.
