Saying Dembele has Low IQ despite all this is lol worthy.

Why would it be lol worthy? Low IQ players can still perform and have excellent numbers. That said, think Dembele's been showing improved decision making lately.

I was also worried he could end up a headless chicken speed type, he did assist alot at Dortmund but sometimes it seems he himself has no idea what his feet will do next. something has changed and the kid is turning it around, maybe EVs chat with him

don't really care about agendas or people wanting to say 'i told you so', i just want to see this kid reach his potential

Yeah I'm disagree with you there somewhat.

I doubt someone with Low IQ could do what Dembele is doing right now. I mean the next biggest comparison in this squad is Coutinho and he hasn't been anywhere near as effective as Dembele has this season and no one can claim he's some low IQ player considering he was a World Class player when we bought him.

To be frank, I thought he would never be more than a headless chicken on the pitch. Seemed so lost, often in wrong areas, not interested... but I like the change. Finally seems like a part of the team.

I could be 100% wrong on this one. Which would be nice.

For Dembele, it seemed like he really needed a nice kick in the ass for him to finally "Get it" I guess.

I was generally worried about him for a good stretch this season after he was put on the Bench and with the Catalan Media on his ass for being late to training. Stuff like that could hurt a player but he managed to bounce back big time and realized what he needed to do.

He is trying harder not to lose the ball and has improved defensively which I guess is the biggest points Valverde wanted him to work on and his decision making is getting better and better. His connection with Alba and positioning on the LW is so much better than Coutinho.

He's our second most important attacker behind Messi

Are we sure about that? If you say 2nd best I will get it but 2nd most important?
Because right now I might actually rate Suarez as the most important attacker, I know it sound blasphemy but the team functioned the worst attacking wise without him, the level of every other attacker drops significantly without him. We were destroying RM and outplaying Inter without both Dembele and Messi (with Dembele being bench player)

Suarez was good vs Real but to be fair that had to be one of the worst performances Real have ever put up against us. They left us so much Space to exploit and they got punished for it.

Suarez is a weird enigma these days. He can put up games that remind you of his best years with us but also put up performances that question why we haven't replaced him yet.

I agree, Suarez has performed better than last season, and physically he seems to be at his near best. The good part is that our attackers are about as good as it gets in Europe. We gave a very skillful front three.

I am not trying to complicate things, but important is different than better.
Suarez is the catalyst to our attack, be it any combination with Messi/Dembele/Coutinho/Rafinha/Malcom the attack is always better with him there than without him IMO

i dont think coutinho is world class at all, he's so over rated on these forums.

We could have lost against RM without Dembele. He totally changed the game in the second half. Dembele has really been a big game player for us. Imagine if he had been as bad as Coutinho has been for us. Those 300m we spent would look much worse and could cause serious issues for us for years to come. We should all be happy that Dembele has been so important for us and he deserves a lot of praise for turning things around.

I have, is he a good player? yes however he most definitely is not world class.
Can he get there? maybe?

In what way is he currently or has been world class please do tell?

Lol, if Coutinho wasn't world class at Liverpool then nobody is except Messi and Ronaldo.

So how about all the guys better than Coutinho but worse than Messi/CR7 (you know debryne/neymar/silva etc), or are you suggesting he was the 3rd best player in the world at Liverpool? Some nice logic there.
