I would love to see Mascherano be a little more adventurous with the ball. Right now apart from doing awesome DM stuff, when he gets the ball he quickly passes the ball to another teammate (and he is very very good at it). His distribution is superb, but if he moves with the ball a little bit more, he would have the chance to make those more decisive passes, passes that are unpredictable and can set up good attacking moves.

Seems like you have seen veeeeeeeeeery little of Mascherano.
He is a good passer of the ball, both long and short range. He has great distribution. Just a recent stat off the top of my head - against Rubin he had the most number of passes completed, and the highest percentage (93%).
He is also a great tackler.
He has only gotten 2 yellow cards this season. Lol at 'foul merchant'.
And he has a half-decent shot on him as well.

But most importantly, he fits Pep's system.
