Hes not as good a DM as Busquets and is the only organiser/leader at back and reads game better than anyone else. He is having a very goo season at CB.

He is having a good season at CB, but I don't agree with you about the DM position. Busquets has had some very unpredictable moments this season and Masch was a beast at the World Cup. I also find his reading of the game provides more defensive cover for our backline. He's not as good on the ball as Busquets but he's a much better defender.

I am sure Busquets is making the most interceptions and tackles in the league so he is doing well defensively.

Busquets is the better DM even though been a bit patchy on form this season.

By putting Masch to DM you are weakening two positions in the team.

Other than to rest Busquets, cant see it happening.

We'll just agree to disagree on this one. :beer2:

Stupidly pointless long ball that leads to him getting demolished by Torres.

There was nothing "stupid or pointless" about that ball. In case you did not realize the tactics during the whole match was to put ball immediately to our forwards. Also long ball is always the safe option and the pass was actually accurate - Messi just did not bother to run back and go after that ball, he was outrun by Atletico player who passed the ball immediately to Torres. Mascherano might have beeen able to stop Torres better, but Torres did it very well an it all happened too quickly.

He's at fault for both their goals. Sub in Bartra and play Masche in midfield.

Second foul was not a penalty and perhaps no faul at all, so he can be hardly blamed for that. And the first one - Messi had at least equal share of blame as stated above.

No doubt, he's evolved in to a competent CB, yet I await the day when he no longer has to be deployed at the back in the big games. In other words: awaiting a prominent CB signing.

Watching 1st half again I think he had a very bad game. Even alba too, you would think they would exploit alves but it was opposite. Masch and alba underperformed.
