Are you a complete numpty? Any prospective buyer with an ounce of intelligence will enter a negotiation with a low bid in order to drop the final price, they rarely if ever expect that opening bid to be accepted, equally the selling party will aim to open negotiations with a high demand to bring the final price closer to what they deem to be an acceptable level. Clearly in your little world people show up at a negotiation and offer pots of money to ensure they meet the seller's expectations and avoid any messy wranglings. If the rest of Liverpool's fans are as deluded as their representatives on here you clearly have the owners you deserve.

1. Barca's bid was made to distract Mascherano , was made to unsettle Mascherano. It worked , he refused to play last night. We have set a price of about 30 million euros , you offered 20 plus a complete numpty , Liverpool and Roy Hodgson have made it clear they are NOT willing to negotiate on Mascherano's price , if you have the money pay it , if you don't then don't make a bid.

2. You keep saying that i expect Barca to throw money at Liverpool and not try and get the best deal for your club. That is such a simplistic view from someone who seems like an itelligent guy. The fact is Liverpool have made it clear of the price they want , yet Barca decide to offer only 60% of what we want , again , and i tire of saying it , Barca's bid was made with no intention of it being accepted , it was made to distort the relationship between Mascherano and Liverpool. So do not bring up the word negotiate when it has nothing what so ever to do with it.

3. Barca have already agreed personal terms with Mascherano despite being nowhere near agreeing a deal , does this smack you of a club with the right methods in concern with the Mascherano deal ?. It again shows disrespect for Liverpool as a club , and if you refuse to accept that , there is nothing i can say to make you akknowledge where i am coming from.

1. You have a player who has obviously not been committed to the club for some time, there was no need to unsettle him as he wasn't settled to begin with. If unsettling was the aim there were far more subtle ways of doing it, and his refusal to play does us no favours at the end of the day. Liverpool's position is weak, nigh on untenable in fact, you aren't in a position to take the "Put up or shut up" approach because the player wants out and the club needs to sell.

2. Liverpool can bleat on about the price they want, the fact is that the player wants out, the club's in financial trouble with a prospective buyer having backed out and the bank wants its money back. You need to sell, we want to buy. There will be a negotiation and it was initiated by us with that bid, whether you like it or not.

3. The papers claim that we've agreed terms with the player, those same papers also claimed that we'd agreed a deal for Özil when in fact we'd never made a bid and that last summer we'd agreed a move for Cesc to come to Camp Nou this summer. They make stuff up to fill column inches. Maybe we actually have agreed terms with Mascherano but parallel negotiations happen all the time in football, we may well have been given permission to speak to him because Liverpool are clearly willing to sell, the only question is at what price we secure the player.

He wanted out before the Arsenal game , but he played. You make a bid the day of the City game , he refuses to play. The facts are there in black and white , Barca are just hoping Masch pushes further than Cesc was willing to.

thing is though he can want and beg all him damn wants won't make a difference unless we offer what Liverpool want or else it won't happen

Some of you need to get a life.

Tried it. Was given advice by someone who said in order to have a life, you may need friends. I replied with a question, 'what is a friend'. He gave up on me and walked away. Now, all I have is my collection of books and this forum. Still, crap happens.

how is it barca's fault that he wants out???

Good question seeing as it was Inter he was heavily linked with when he said he wanted to go a number of weeks ago. Still, why let that get in the way of a good Barca hating story
