Lamines physical condition is good. He's very very young and has a lot of muscular development to do on his frame, but has a decent pace baseline and great stamina and agility.
He looks like he has good athletic potentials.

Far more athletic than likes of Gavi who are held up as athletic beasts.

Gavi has great stamina. Didn't Xavi say he could run for multiple games. That's a physical trait.

Xavi should be thinking of resting him these games. Just started multiple games for Barca and then twice for Spain.

This run of games is about as 'easy' as it gets for Barca this season... Torres RW on Saturday and then Raphinha in midweek v Antwerp.

Give the lad a bit of space for a week and have on bench if game is tight.

Felix, Gavi, FDJ and Romeu midifeld four on Saturday with Ferran out wide. Gundogan/Raphinha etc can come in v Antwerp.

Kid is built like a stick, don't think he'd be as effective centrally. He should just keep going at RW as that's where he'll have the most impact. Doesn't need to be central to be lethal, look at Robben, Salah and Messi.

He also doesn't seem like the typical athletic winger with pace/dribbling and nothing else. The guy seems to have IQ and good technique to hit a pass or curl it into the corner. Only thing I haven't seen yet is how good he is closer to goal with 1v1's and one timed shots.

In any case I see a player who can go heavy on G+A from RW, like those mentioned above.
For now yes but he has a good athletic composition, he looks like he can put on a lot of size if he tries.

The future offseasons will be crucial.

Yamal is one of the best talents that has ever emerged from this academy and that's saying something.

Yamal, Gavi, Balde, all in 2 seasons or so... three 100m price talents basically. Golden generation.
100m price but that would be for their potential, not current ability. These guys still have an incredible lot to prove before being labeled 'golden generation'.

But on paper it looks bright currently. They just have to keep going and improve, in addition to Laporta, Xavi & Co doing their part in building a CL competitive squad.

This makes too much sense. Which is why probably won't happen. :xavi:

But definitely should manage his minutes. Not only to not overplay him but also to keep him "honest" and not let the hype get to him.

Start him every third/fourth game and let him come off the bench in other games is more than enough at his age. Hopefully Raphinha and/or Ferran will do well enough we won't have to rely on a 16 yo kid.

How does that make any sense? Start him every 3 to 4 games?

He needs continuity. He shouldn't play 90 minutes twice per week, but after the "training games" with Spain and 6 days of rest he can (and arguably should?) absolutely start.

It's also a really weird concept that playing first division football somehow is heavier on his body than let's say training and playing with the B team. You guys realize he will give his all wherever he plays? That's how you get better, that's what training and games are for. He will play at 100% capacity every time, which is precisely what he did since he was a kid.

He is only 16, who knows how if will affect him mentally if we use him too often. Should see him more as an addition instead of a starter already imo. This guy is gold 💯
