Meh I wouldn't worry Viva. A lot of their fans are ridiculously arrogant, saw that before the Arsenal games this season and last. I mean, they were always going to win but a few fans were very over the top. Not all Barcelona fans on here are like that though, the regular posters are anything but completely arrogant.

I think a lot of people are underestimating United's quality...I think Barcelona will win because their central midfield is on another planet but it won't be easy. United are a very hard working and ruthless team with bottle and lots of leaders. I really admire that about United.

Glory hunters are delusional.

United have quite a few world class players. You're not even worth a reply. You're just a troll. Evra, Vidic, Rooney, Rio, Nani and Valencia.. I'll add Little Pea on that list next season. Name me a better RW than Valencia? United have the best wingers in the PL. You're wrong again. :(

I agree, I really enjoyed posting on here until this guy started, now just winds me up every time I hear his BS. The guy knows nothing about football, which in itself is fair enough, but to then start making stupid comments about another team is just ridiculous. He's the type that even if United won 3-0 he'd still be saying Barca are the much better team.....I'm guessing he's a 14 years old kid, with Barcalona pictures all around his bedroom wall, and he's thinking about getting a tatoo of Messi on his arm, but he's scared in case is mum goes mad....A true discredit to the decent Barca fans here.

I agree, its good to hear that especially from one of our main rivals fans. To be fair though most of the Barca fans on here are very reasonable, its just some idiots which have no real understanding of the game, who spoil it. We all have opinions, but to be so arrogant as some are (Barca, United or anyone else's fans included) is one of my biggest pet hates.

i am confident we are the stronger side but i have a feeling its ManU thats going to lift the trophy...:icon_neutral:

I believe Barca are capeable of beating Man utd even more comfortably than 09, but after what Liverpool did to AC Milan in 2005, Man Utd did in 1999 anything is possible!! :icon_confused:

What is wrong with this post? Apart from Vidic, how do those names even compare to their counterparts in Barca? They don't. Valencia is a one trick pony, but very good at that one trick. However this is one game, with good coaching and 100% focus Barca can handle it. Nani is good but extremely wasteful. Give him 10 balls and he will waste 5 running into 3 defenders trying to ballet past them, give 3 bad crosses and 2 good balls. This may be good enough normally, but against Barca he will not get that many chances to try.

Again, there is a distinction. It won't be easy, but theoretically Barca should win this handily. If I were forced to bet my house on this game, I know what I would do and so would you. For me, RMA were a far bigger threat. They are equally adept, if not better at countering, plus they are harder to beat in defense, simply due to the fact that Man U will play less defensive than RMA did (I hope). Plus, Man U don't have Pepe. As much as I hate that ape, he's a monster, he brought down Messi to 10% effectiveness. You saw what happens when Messi gets space in the second leg. The same will happen in the final. He will be trying to run through defense, help keep the ball moving in midfield, make through balls to villa and pedro, etc. and I don't see anyone stopping him like RMA did.

Like I said before, anything can happen, it's football, blah blah blah. If we have to make a prediction, which is why we are here, it will be Barca, 8 out of 10 times.

You forgot to add 'in my opinion', since until the 28th we have absolutely no way of saying who is best, its been two years since they played. Makes me laugh that you guys seem to forget, we also won our league, and made it to the final too. Barca haven't done anything extra. You watch probably watch Barca every week, you socialise with other Barca fans patting each other on the back about how great your team is, and obviously get caught up in the hype. Well let me tell you its exactly the same in United circles. There has been a lot of hype about this team in the last couple of months, and rightly so. If I had to make a 'eleven' up from both our teams it would consist of 7 or 8 United players, perhaps thats because I support United and my bias would interfer with rational judgement, but at least i can see that.

I try to be very impartial and see things from both teams points of views, sadly some people (like yourself) obviously cant.

Fact 1- its two teams top of the respective league's, playing a final against each other.
2- Both teams have made it to the final relatively easily despite playing their, closest domestic rivals.
3- Despite what some woul have you believe here Barca are a very good team, but far from invincible, as getting beat away by the team who will finsih 3rd(at the most) in our league will contest.
4- Some people will always believe their team is best no matter what, because, well..its their team and rational thought goes out the window.

Oh and all this talk about RM being better than United. That makes me laugh too. What have they done in recent years? absolutely nthing. Whilst United have won title after title, and had 3 CL finals, RM have done didley squat. I compare them to Man City, who have spent more money thatn any team in the world and still can't challenge for the big titles. Its alright having big name players, but if they don't (as is the case for Madrid) play together effectively and consistently, it counts for nothing.

Ferdinand is world class and both he and Vidic IMO are better than Pique/Puyol.

Really?. i respect you opinion, but maybe your definition is different from mine. Ferdinand is a great defender, but saying both he and Vidic is better than Puyol is 'pushing it a little' as you guys say. If Rio spent most of his time on the pitch rather than on the sidelines in the last couple years, maybe i might give him consideration. But he is not world class in my book. What has he done. He and Vidic are not on the same level as Puyol.

Well yea, not all barca funs are like that, but when an arsenal or united fans joins a barcelona forum then they should expect posts like that, no? I'm sure if i joined an arsenal forum before we played i too would have seen some annoying and arrogant comments...its only natural so you shouldn't be complaining about it. Just like i'm sure if i join a united forum now i will see quite a few united fans claiming they they will run over barca on the 28th...point is these posts are not surprising on any clubs forums...

No one should underestimate United, and no Barcelona fan should think Barca will definitely win. United are natural born winners unlike Arsenal, and with someone who has as much experience as fergie they know how to approach big games. It particularly worries me that ferguson was in this same situation 2 years back, it's all ours to lose IMO and that really worries me. Also I think united's width (nani+valencia) could give us major problems....IMO it's a really close call, as every final is, we may be slight favorites but united are as tough as they come. When you look at finals of 2005, 1999 and 1994 (which barca lost to milan) you know you can never underestimate an opponent, even if you're leading 3-0 at HT.

Yea, that observation makes sense when your clubs CB is Koscielny. Rio and Vidic are class but I wouldn't say they are better than Puyol+Pique, pique fucks up a lot but in big games (and when he has puyol to keep him in check) is an absolutely class defender. and i don't think i need to explain what a legend puyol is...I don't think we've lost a single game in which pique and puyol started.

I'm not a fan of either Barcelona or United so feel myself rather a neutral in this discussion. That said, I'm going to take issue with the statement that comparing Ferdinand and Puyol is an insult. The Ferdinand of a few years ago was a marvellous defender. But that's a few years ago. These days, I just don't rate him that highly and yes, I do think that Puyol is better.

Your a good guy, I respect your post's. Your also totally right about it being the same on all forums. Blinkered fans are everywhere, its far from just here.

When a guy says comparing Puyol and Rio is an insult to rio, you just know he's either on crack or he doesn't know jack shit about football. as i said, come and talk when Rio has won multiple UCLs, European championship (International) and a world cup :)

Totally agree. Like I said, have an opinion but lets not be ridiculous about it.

Yea I know, I love both Rio and Vidic and think they're both great defenders, as are Puyol and Pique...I don;t see the need for fans from either side to shit on great players from the opposition
