No matter what topts and a few others want to believe.

Players don't leave Barca to go to freak Bayern.

Does happen.

A lot of Bayern rumors now. It isn't a joke anymore. Everybody laughed at Dembele's psg rumor then it happened.

Still why Bayern want another CB? They already had De Ligt, Kim, Upamecano

Despite La liga being much better, the main incentive to stay is El classico. Other than that, Bayer has much better squad and actually is highly competitive in the best competition - Champions league. Plus Bayern is much more stable club, while Barca is well… in the toilet.

As for Barca perspective. If people really rate him and Pedri as much, and believe they could fetch roughly 300m, honestly what is there to think about?I would sell in a second. Invest 150m, while the rest use to service debt. La liga is still a possibility, while CL is pipe dream anyway.

While Real lost league title to a club ‘in the toilet’ and were humiliated by City in Europe…

Maybe Real players will start missing drugs testing soon and can win again.

If Araujo wants to go let him go and get 100m plus. Need players thst want to be there.

Always find it funny how Madrid fans revel in Barca's financial destruction. Back in 2001 Madrid were in the exact same position as Barca now, financially destroyed by a disastrous Galactico transfer policy. On the edge of going bust.

Barca had to sell their own assets to survive whilst Real Madrid fanatic supporting La Liga presidents tightened the economic screw.

Back in 2001, Madrid simply ' sold ' their training ground to the government for 500m, essentially wiping out all their debt. The strange this was that the training ground was only valued at 30m ! Even more strange the government decided to gift the training ground they had just bought for 500m back to Real Madrid for free !

500m in today's money is numerous billions. But apparently it's the biggest club in the world who does it's winning on the pitch :lamine:

Financial issues of Madrid at that point predate Florentino Perez and galacticos - which sporting wise were "disastrous", while economically fantastic.

Barca`s levers will be studied for ages by enthuziasts and pros alike. For infamous reasons. As for the rest, you are trying to build the narrative of pro-Madrid leadership through FPP trying to handicap Barca? I hope not, because that would be inherently to stupid.

As for the training ground narrative. No, RM did not simply sell their training ground to the government. The land was rezoned - not surprising given its commerical value and a decade + long efforts to do so, and in return government got a piece of that land, which was later sold in joint effort through public bids to few corporations. Both parties earned cash, Madrid got developed more. EU found nothing wrong. Shocking!

The only way 500M euros today is worth numerous billions is in Cule play money. In real world, 500M equates to substantially less than a billion today.

The levers are a strange stick to try and hit Barca with... whether agree with them or not these levers are money now that the club will pay back and more...

Real call up another pedo yesterday? Must have a quota to fill after Benzema left.

Same week it was discovered Ramos missed drugs tests while at Real while went unpunished for some reasons or another.

All while cheering on Ronnie the Rapist to CL wins.

Strange fans of that club to try and take some moral high ground.. but never stops them.

500m in 2001 would be about 880m today.

Multiple inflation calculators out there just Google it or ask Chatgpt.

That deal was a classic Madrid is the institution club of Spain deal.

Madrids selling land to govt is shady but there is no way that lands in centre of Madrid was worth only 30m either. It was one of most sought after pieces of ground in Spain.

Sure at the time the European Union investigated that sale also.

Later on Real as well as Barca and Bilbao I believe were found to have been helped by authorities in over inflated funds for selling land.. not to same scale though.

They'll probably try to sell him in the summer if Bayern are serious about offering close to 100m.
They need a big sale to balance the books yet again and I don't think other players would fetch anything close to it as they won't sell Pedri, Gavi.

Vitor Roque and Inigo Martinez as well I believe are only registered until the summer. Gavi will be registered again in the summer so they'll have to find the money somewhere to register Roque and Inigo again. If Cancelo's transfer is permanent he will also need to be registered again with the transfer fee being taken into account too?

They could sell Kounde and Christensen for probably 100m+ combined and then cheaper options for depth if came to having to balance books.

They wont sell Araujo to balance books but may sell him if he insists on getting out.

Rumours Chadi Riad on way back as depth at CB for example.

100% not selling Araujo.
No chance that happens.

Its between him and Pedri as to who is the most unsellable players at the club.

Selling Christensen + Kounde is another option. I like Riad but it's not exactly going to make our backline stronger getting rid of those two. Inigo is injury prone too.

Doesn't seem like we'll be able to sign a good CDM either unless board members/Laporta put forward another personal guarantee with their own wealth which according to latest reports people are unwilling to do, and instead of trying to convince him to sell a part of the club or open up for investors.
