Absolute disaster of a game once again.

Same old issues.

Cant find ball. Lacks quality.

Couldnt do his hardman act so many clap happy for as booked in first minute.

Yet... Xavi keeps him on all game.

Genuinely one of woest Barca mid performances have ever seen. More or less playing with 10 men.

He's also 18. As always people are too quick to dismiss players.

Lowest number of passes in team at fucking 13....
Pass % of 64%

Yet despite barely getting ball he was player most often dispossesed.

As predicted those folk now say about his age when were arguing about how good he is currently in the past.

Folk genuinely think he is better than Pedri or FDJ...

Not even remotely close and long way to go to ever get to their level.

Doesn't seem to be aware of what's going on around him or where people or the ball is on the pitch.

Constantly moving up and down and running into people, makes it impossible for anyone to pass him the ball with him retaining it because he's never ready to receive.

When Pedri misses games, you damn notice it. I don't think anyone would notice if Gavi didn't play and Kessie or Roberto did. I actually think those two can be better with Gavi's current terrible form.
Needs to improve on a lot.

He works in a setup where the other 2 midfielders hold the shape and create chances.

Without Pedri and FDJ, he is useless.

Gavi being 18 might explain his inconsistency and poor performances, but shouldn't be used to defend his status as an undisputed starter for this team.

He either performs much, much better or starts from the bench. We need to sign a midfielder or two who are clear upgrades.

We should keep him in the club, he's very young and in the future he could be useful for us but right now, he isn't mature enough to play and start.

Notice it more when he plays CM... as he cantm do it curently.

Had games like this in past... Germany in WC I think he made 9 passes etc.

Sergi Roberto played CM for 45 mins v Girona before being hooked at HT and went off injured today v Getafe after 17 minutes.
Gavi played full 180 mins across both games.

Sergie Roberto made more passes in those 62 mins than Gavi did across both games combined.

Gavi managed... 33 succesful passes in 180 mins v Girona and Getafe.

Funny if wasnt so sad.

People will still find him some dumb excuses 'he only performs if X or Y player is in the pitch' ... lol

A little bully wannabe without having the muscle to do it and no talent to bring to the table except his kid's stamina which will fade in a couple of years max
