Currently a long way behind FDJ, Pedri an Gundogan on ability.

Hopefully can close that gap this season and show qualities have been badly lacking the past year.

Nah Pep claims he can play all positions up top but he knows fine well where KDB plays is his best role in this team.

You should text Pep and tell him how over rated Foden is and likes of Harvey Barnes is top.

Pep also rated Messi....

Coaches have a much better handle on players when had them for years,

Try again.

Yes.. likes of Barnes is mile off Foden.

Barnes being worse than Foden proves nothing.

Also you said Foden plays great in multiple positions so that shouldn't be an issue.

Why doesn't Foden start the big CL games and stuff in any of the non KDB positions? He's extremely versatile isn't it?

It's simple he isn't as good as he was touted to be. Didn't progress at all in last 3 years.

The Phil Foden of 2020 was just as good as the Phil Foden of 2023.

Pep says Foden plays well in multiple positions chief and it top in them all....

You claim that means as if he 'doesnt know his best position' as some kind of negative.

Pep loves him and knows his best position is the areas KDB plays.

I never said Pep doesn't love him. Being versatile is good.

But if you're a talent of the level Foden was touted to be then surely you start the biggest games in any of those 4 or 5 positions?

The issue is that in 2020 Foden was exceptional for his age. He has remained the same player throughout and hasn't shown enough growth.

All the other young superstars are regular starters for their clubs in the biggest of games. Foden isn't.

Pep can love him, like him, shag him all he wants but doesn't start him in the biggest games of the season. Actions speak louder than words especially when the words are about a local lad and PR driven. Just lip service.

Yes so Pep doesnt think he is over rated at all and loves him.... you should email the best coach going and tell him you know more.

That is the best coach in world by far who has worked with him day in day out.

Foden is better player now than was three years ago that is why Pep will play him twice as often in league and CL as did back then. His over all game is better.

Back then he looked like grew up being far better than the rest and played with less discipline as part of the system.

Pep and Foden have both spoken about this and what he needed to do to play more and the discussions they had.

Indeed 'actions speak louder than words' and is it backed up by actions.

Hypocritical to claim that when started off by basing opinion on what Pep had said but nevermind that.
