I never said Pep doesn't love him. Being versatile is good.
But if you're a talent of the level Foden was touted to be then surely you start the biggest games in any of those 4 or 5 positions?
The issue is that in 2020 Foden was exceptional for his age. He has remained the same player throughout and hasn't shown enough growth.
All the other young superstars are regular starters for their clubs in the biggest of games. Foden isn't.
Pep can love him, like him, shag him all he wants but doesn't start him in the biggest games of the season. Actions speak louder than words especially when the words are about a local lad and PR driven. Just lip service.
