Xavi just realized having the two interiors half way up the pitch, giving the DM no one to play with or off was stupid against rayo.

Explains why busquets didn't show for the ball, because who would he pass it to.

But anyways, Xavi made the tactical adjustment to have him go deeper. Which should be the case at all times anyways.

Not a DM because that's just silly, but like a proper CM.

Not prime Xavi's passing range yet but Pedri is already a very good passer. He can do both through ball and long ball well. Not sure about cross.

Pedri also can dribble.

Yes he played in more or less a double pivot not as a CM dropping deep and was about first to get ball from defence in second half many times.

Not way would play with Busquets.

Pedri playing like that tonight with Busquets is awful idea. Busi plodding about slowing game down to his pace and falling on arse any time anyone comes near him.

Tonight was much better with not only Pedri better than the dog shit Busi v Rayo but FDJ also.

Busquets wouldnt even attempt to take ball there and would fall to ground looking for a foul more often than not.

Slowing it all down to his pace unless situation suits him.
