Xavi
Pedri
Why not play him in Xavi's role??? Lad gonna kill it. He needs to touch the ball more than anyone else
If you think these are similar you are daft - they are polar opposites.
Xavi got the ball while pressured, lifted it over the presser and released it perfectly for a player facing forwards, with both space and time.
Pedri got the ball completely open, had a bad first touch, then he just threw it up the air and felt forced to just release the ball since the opponent got to him, and he got it to a player 50/50 duel, with the ball in the air and a lot of opponents nearby.
Since Pedri is pretty bad still without the ball, he won't touch it much more than he does (sometimes only 30 times per game), and it is a good thing for Barcelona that he does not, since his decisions are still pretty bad. He gets the ball from good positions to worse positions a lot. He sometimes finds killer balls, but too rarely for my liking.
Very good game.
So much better when allowed to get deep and get on ball.
